I bought a pack of ratchet straps to take some of the dance out of it. Without them you can’t hardly use it. I had it two high one other time in the foyer it’s narrow but it’s high as well. I got on it with no straps it was down right scary. That was before handrails as well I didn’t get them till yesterday.

Good evening everyone. I missed a few days and had a dozen pages to catch up on! I made a firewood run on Monday afternoon, Prudence handled it like a pro. ( a broken old has-been pro, but a pro none the less!) 1/2 a cord of red oak in the trailer, the other 1/2 in the bed. The damn thing barley squatted, I guess those 6 ply spring packs were helpful when it used to tow a gooseneck trailer.

We had a light rain happening since last night I think it's just about over. MY Taco is doing a weird- this morning while running the AC for some dehumidifying/ clearing of the window, the cool air stopped flowing and the light on the AC button was flashing. It seemed to be working on the way home so I dunno... the truck is 10 years old, maybe its starting to get some quirks?

 

I know the feeling.

Meanwhile somewhere in the Sunset Country of NW Ontario...

Been here since Saturday. Even have internet, sometimes. Record heat 80° highs at least tied with record highs most days. Tornado warning yesterday. In Sept. Here. Crazy, pavement ends headed much more North of here it is fly in only. Birds aren't moving much and too hot to move. But do anyhow and sometimes it pays off.



Getting up at 0500 with the dog like normal can be rewarding

Making progress Paul.... coming from an aircraft maintenance person here.... wouldn't it be stronger with a piece of wood on top of the fiberglass, overlapping the structure there?? Doesn't seem like the fiberglass would be strong enough to support the beam. Don't know anything about boats, just some fiberglass history.....
