I watched the whole video. Clever, and I respect the thought that went into the design, but can't say I'm that excited about the functionality. It would be more interesting if it allowed FWD operation, but some quick googling suggests that's not really doable with these transfer cases.

I wonder if a J-shifter could be modified to allow 2-low? I remember a friend of mine saying he was going to do that with his Bronco II. Sounded like it was just a matter of modifying or rearranging the stops in the case so you could push the lever forward from 2-high.

Yeah they can but you have to take the case apart to take a ball that stops that from happening out

When my front dif actuator wasn't working I had 2Lo so it's definitely doable just need a secondary switch to control the front dif actuator

I guess I could rebuild instead of replacing but that's not what I had in mind.

I’ve looked into that before, people have done it and it looks pretty easy. Just one switch wired into the add signal wire. I think I saw somewhere that it’s actually technically 3Lo due to front drive shaft still spinning. Only twin sticks for true 2lo

Probably not cheap either since I'd still need inner tie rod ends and a handful of other pieces. I feel like I'm just going to eat the money and order the correct rack

Where in Pennsylvania? 2 winters there won't destroy it, if your concerned just fluid film it.

The cost of living there vs Cali is gonna be a real eye opener for ya. You actually can make it happen working at Sheetz @Speedytech7

Well congrats man! As someone who just picked up and moved 1000 miles I can imagine the thoughts you're going through. Hopefully it all goes smooth! It's been a fun time learning to live somewhere completely new. Are you moving out here solo?

As far as the truck, these trucks don't take much to rust, but with the right prep you can help it survive. As mentioned, learn how to fluid film your truck or something similar and let her rip.

Where in Pennsylvania are you moving to exactly?

I have manual hubs, so don't need the switch... but might have to get my shoes dirty.

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
I learned that Nissan Oil Pressure sensor switches use BSP - British Standard Pipe Thread instead of NPT. I used an adaptor to connect to a pressure gauge.

Yeah they will. I’ve never gotten fittings on Amazon before. Ace, lowes and Home depot generally have a ok selection of small stuff. Gots most things done
