Hey all, been thinking about taking out the seat on the passenger side of my 3rd gen Taco (crew cab, short bed). I want to put my refrigerator there for camping, and swap it out with the dog's bed for longer trips. I want to be able to put my seat back in if I need it though.

Has anyone done this? Got photos of cool setups? Interested to see what y'all are doing.

Here’s what I did. I did the whole back seat. 50l fridge fits on passenger side. I was just going to do pass side originally. Still have the sketches for it somewhere. Let me know if you have ?’s or need pics. I’ll help you get it done for minimal bucks. It’s rather easy.

Yep, I’ve done this for the exact same purpose, dog and fridge, except I removed both rear seats in my double cab. I installed the Goose Gear setup. I can provide pics later.

When my daughter uses the truck to go camping with her family, I have an Alu Cab installed, I remove the Goose Gear and install the seats. Obviously I have to remove the seats and reinstall the platform when they return. Not that big of a deal.

Thanks all, this is great info.

What does the process look like, taking out the seats and re-installing them? Is it a big long process?

Just a few bolts for the seats. It's pretty easy to do.

They take about 5 minutes to remove and 5 minutes to install. Few bolts and everything comes right out.

Read through the link provided by @AncaGrind80 Everything you need is in there, including dealing with the extra road noise.
