I’d look at polyurethane or marine varnish. But sun and moisture are killers of any kind of finish, especially the sun. Depending on the conditions no matter what you use you may have to lightly refinish it every year or two. Not a big deal. To refinish, since it has paint underneath just lightly sand with extra fine sandpaper 440 grit and apply a thin coat of polyurethane or marine varnish.
There’s a bunch of different ones out there. Suggest you go to a paint store and talk to them.
Woodtickgreg may have some ideas, he does a lots of wood work.

Water-based polyurethane would be a good choice because it dries absolutely clear. It dries fast and you can get several coats in a day. Being that you are covering a painted surface I would spray at least the first couple of coats. You can get minwax polycrylic in a spray can. All this is going to do is slow the effects of moisture. It won't do anything for uv protection. Only thing that will really do that is an oil based marine spar varnish (polyurethane) but it will yellow everything up and may even damage the paint you are trying to protect.

Good morning. Going to be a busy day. Off to the gym followed by a quick trip to the grocery store. Last chair yoga class for the trimester. Get the pasta sauce going then off to recycle Styrofoam. Thank goodness it is all easy to do.

    Prostate Cancer update...
    • Mid January: PSA 97 - Simple Orchiectomy performed
    • Late March: PSA 10.9
    • Late April: PSA 1.24
    • Early June: PSA 0.49
    • July-August: no blood tests as we were moving and had to establish new doctors
    • Mid-September: PSA < 0.1 (which my Oncologist says means it is "undetectable")
Next steps: 30-Sep through 21-Nov: Radiation Therapy 5-days per week (except the last week which only has 4 treatments)

This is a far cry from last October when my Urologist told me I had Stage 4b cancer and had less than 5-years to live. :)

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue!
    Happy Anniversary @Jim727386 !
That is FANTASTIC numbers @Horseshoez ! I been there, and I'm still here.
    And that's a pretty kitty @95SLE !

So, it's mowing day, but probably won't trim again - it's slowed down for me. I have a new shade cloth swap out experiment for the greenhouse (my last experiment!), I need to check on the water for the drips - I know tank is full, but it seems to be lacking (everything in there is over with anyway), I have the switch for the umbrella lights, AND I have a new front and rear dashcam for the RAV to install. Far more than I can do in a day anymore.

But, I am seeing improvements with the neck therapy - the top half of me isn't in constant pain, so I feel better. And that silly knee sleeping pillow has done great in two night - I don't wake up with my legs in pain. Now, I have discovered that I'm pretty weak from not doing as much, but if I get going better, that will change! I see the hip/back Ortho guy tomorrow, so we will see what kind of plan we start out with.

Thank you! Sounds like a lot of things to do! I will say those long pillows help with me as well. I sometimes sleep on my side and my hips hurt from the angles. The pillow helps with that.

Mowed today, hopefully done for the year, there are quite a few leaves down, seems a little early.

Wish the Ortho guy might have at least said something in passing a month ago. I'm on the right side 85% of the time, and two days for such a huge difference!? I mean I needed my breaks mowing, but for worn out instead of pain.

If I'm lucky, October is twice a month, November on is once. Trimming is subjective; next time will probably be the last until next growing season.

I just realize I never missed a phone call with my good ole wall phone in the kitchen unless I wasn’t home; yet, I’ve missed the phone calls so often ever since I opened the cellular phone line. o_O
