So over the years the main speakers in the doors have quit working. The front door tweeters still work and the right front goes in and out. Is this a speaker issue or a head unit issue. Just wondering if anyone here has seen this before
    Thanks

If the Tweeters still work but the mains don't then it's either bad speakers, bad tweeters, or a broken wire in the door because the main speaker circuits go through the Tweeters.

I tried taking the tweeter wires and plugged them into the main and nothing. So I think I'll order a set of speakers tomorrow and see what happens.
    Thanks

My passenger side door speaker stopped working. I removed the door panel, unplugged the speaker cable from the speaker, then temporarily connected an old speaker I had laying around. This speaker worked, therefore the problem was a failing (factory) speaker.

Crutchfield is a great source of speakers and other audio/video needs.

Thanks for this diagnostic tip. Both my woofers had failed in my '13 (not at once) which I thought was odd and made me suspicious of the head unit. But the tweeters worked. Ordered up some new speakers and wa-la, sound is back.

And much better I might add. Those OE woofers are lame!
