As for texting, I'm in a group text with the guys I hunt with. They are often sending texts, but I seldom join in. Collectively, their poor typing results in numerous spell check changes that make the texts an ongoing puzzle to try to figure out what they're talking about. I just got frustrated with it and gave up. Is it really that hard? CHECK YOUR BLOODY MESSAGE BEFORE YOU SEND IT!

Whew! Thanks, now I feel better.

 

I hate to say that I am not much better

 

I text my wife a bunch, have a group chat with buddies from high school will chime in 1-2 times a month.

 

After 25 years as an ordained pastor I’m used to people calling or texting only when there is a crisis or when they need something. I’m finding that after 10 years as an Elementary School Assistant Principal/Principal it’s not that different. Several friends we keep in touch with. Normally it’s just a sentence or an emoji. Just enough to convey that we are thinking about each other and keeping each other in our prayers

Well fellers, it was a day...

First we have a GMC truck with a (now) solid frame and a fuel tank installed.




We hooked it up and cranked it over -- didn't start ....

However

It did blow fuel on the garage floor -- just checking to see if the new fuel pump works.

Seems you need to hook up that line that goes to the engine.

It connected with a satisfying click and then the truck started (no muffler) with the fuel staying where it belongs.

 

And then...

I don't remember if I mentioned the little guy who has been coming around the garage -- kind of beat up, goopy eyes & some sores behind the ears but very personable.



He is a nice boy -- and a hungry boy too.
He is waiting for me every day when I get there and follows me right into the kitchen.


Today was Vet day, (sit down) $583 later he was fixed, up to date on shots, tested for this & that and has meds to take for a week. He even takes the meds well.

I had been calling him Striper because of his coat but felt he deserved a more dignified name, Stanley is a good solid name for this very nice fellow.



I have read that you don't pick cats, they pick you.
Brought Stanley home tonight.

 

I'm not a pet person but good for you for giving that cat a good home.

 

I wasn't looking for another cat but apparently he needed a home and decided I was his person.

We get a lot of both entertainment and companionship from the cats, nothing quite as nice as snuggling down in the chair for a Z with a blanket and nice warm cat on a cold dreary winter afternoon.

 

Let’s say that it’s great for both of you found each other’s needs and fits! The ‘new comers’ out there might find your kindness be their safe harbor then you will be super....busy

The best kind of start to a Friday, I come in early for overtime for a job 2nd shift ended up finishing, they aren't completely worthless...just mostly..

Now to decide if Im working this weekend, Christmas is closing fast and my little girl is turning 3 next week

@RustyGreen our two cats last November picked us as their family. The cats are brothers from different mothers. They look out for each other and enjoy play scrapping. Great entertainment.
