@IvanhoeTaco if you can't find it locally, metals depot had the best prices last time i bought, earlier this year. just checked their site and it looks like prices have actually gone down a good bit since then. i was buying a couple hundred feet of tubing, so the shipping was reasonable when you spread it out on a cost per foot breakdown. can't speak for the quantity you need, but worth a check.

edit: with shipping, it was $5.67 a foot when i bought. if i made the same purchase right now, it would be $4.87 a foot with shipping factored in.

I have a stack of templates for the race car and truck but no way to convert to a dvx or similar file to have send-cut-send make. Is there a cheap or easy way to make files?

I'll def check it out. I have a metal supplier (gulf stream) about 30 minutes from me. But I'd much rather have it shipped.

Its worth having them quote DOM too, DOM is actually cheaper at my supply than welded tube. They must move more of it or something

Us east coasters must be getting the shaft on DOM. never been able to get it for less than about $8.50/foot here, shipped or local. always seems to be about double HREW

Looks like metal depot is 4.75ft for hrew. Shipping is a killer if it's over 6 ft.

I don't think I would need a single piece over 6 ft doing a half bedcage for a short bed.

yeah, i buy a bundle of sticks at a time. shipping on a single full stick and 20 full sticks isn't very different.

I don’t even shop around. Just go to Tusker Metals in Temecula since it’s the closest to me.

Access cabs are the absolute best platform. 1st gen raptor looks best as an access. Double cab short beds look dumb imo.

What about DCLBFTMFW Taco builds? Too much spaghetti frame? I'll only concede that they look stupid on stock tire size.

    130-135 for 2x.120

    1.75x.120 hrew is $62 for a 20ft stick.
