The last wedding I complained about going to ended up having an open bar. I learned something that day.

Epoxy resin, too thick (approximately half an inch), and the epoxy does dry clear.

no one really bothers me so much, and i don't bother anyone else so much, unless something arises that i or the other people thought of the other, or need something.

me being a workaholic, most of my friends and siblings are as well-- 'birds of a feather' and all that, so we just don't make too much work of talking during the work week. siblings and/or friends, we'll usually get together every few weeks over dinner and will catch up then. otherwise, calling/texting any other time is really only for when one of us needs something, or to organize upcoming plans.

Evening gents, I got a @RustyGreen mower story for you.

I mowed the grass here at the house this morning, then after my wife finished for the day I went to mow the grass at the shop. I was mowing along singing a song (actually listening to a podcast in my case) when I started to make a 3 point turn between the road and the ditch. All of a sudden the mower didn’t go forward when I pushed the pedal, odd. I pushed the reverse pedal, no backy-upy either, really odd. I thought I set the brake and stepped off to see what was going on. Turns out I didn’t latch the brake and the mower started to roll toward the ditch :goingcrazy: I was able to get it stopped before it went into the ditch but the front tires are down the slope just enough I can’t push the mower back. The transmission didn’t suddenly start working either so I’m stuck. I set the brake, for real this time, and assessed the situation.

I decided I had just enough room between the busy local road with 4 o’clock going home traffic and the ditch to back my Chevy work truck into so I could pull the mower back onto level ground. I back my truck into position and dug out the always handy ratchet strap/come-along/tow strap thing and hooked it to the mower. The Chevy pulled the mower out no problem, even with the brake still set on the mower  Oh well, at least it didn’t roll back into the ditch.

I use the truck to pull the mower back into the parking lot (after I release the brake) and try to figure out what’s going on. Of course it’s hard to see the transmission belt on the mower but I’m able to do a blind feel and discover the belt is off the pulley on the transaxle. I’ll just have to pull the battery out so I can reach down there and get the belt back on. I’m able get the battery disconnected with a crescent wrench and a leatherman’s tool because that’s all I have in the truck. Pull the battery out and find the belt has gone under the transaxle pulley through a gap that’s not as wide as the belt:annoyed: After tugging and cussing and tugging some more it’s pretty obvious I can’t get the belt out from under the pulley so I throw in the towel, push the mower behind the building, take the key and battery and just give up.

I’ll get a new belt tomorrow and cut the old one off. Of course I have to remove the deck to get the new belt threaded around all the pulleys :frusty: To be continued…

Good job! I would need to be paused for a minute if it was me, taking a deep breath before I could use the helping hands to get up. :pout:

Get to go help a friend out with his bees this morning, and helped my brother-in-law out last night moving block, he asked if we could move with the tractor I said I will try, well his pallets have been sitting for 2 years in outdoor Florida woods, as soon as I lifted up the pallets disintegrated. My son and I started splitting pallets we did 5 and put on new pallets so he can start blocking the walls

Good morning guys. Enjoy your weekend!

I checked Lowe’s website last night, the drive belt is out of stock of course. :annoyed: Hoping TSC has one, their website hasn’t worked well in weeks so I’ll have to call them this morning. If they don’t have it I’ll have to resort to one of the small engine repair shops but they always charge way more for stuff like this.

Oh, and too much brass shavings sprinkled in from where I cut the ammo casings.
