In a prior life I worked for a school district. Multiple times every year a driver would pull into the bus yard with a kid sound asleep in the back. That wasn't a big deal because they'd just call the parents and get the kid back to mom. What was a big deal was when the bus driver didn't do their job of walking to the back of the bus to make sure it was empty. Do you want to know how to piss off the parents, the police, every good bus driver, and every level of management all the way up to the Superintendent, don't do your job and leave some kid crying in the bus yard where no one will hear them. Then add icing to that shit pile when social media gets involved. My assignment was to provide a technological solution to make the driver check the back of their bus. The way it worked was when the engine was turned off the driver had 4 minutes to walk to the back of the bus and press a button. If they didn't do that the horn would begin to honk and the lights would flash until the button was pressed. The first week it was installed proved its worth because the bus yard was filled with honking buses.

Dude was hit by a truck, sustained head injury. Taken to the hospital where a craniotomy was performed to reduce the swelling and pressure. I guess he might be a little off to begin with, and was unhappy about not being able to vape, so he left.
