Add me to the list of AMSOIL 75w90 fanboys. Blackstone analysis says it's good stuff too. Also second gen, also a '15, also silver, not a coincidence. We are superior to 3rd gens, fear us.

Exactly the same except one is handicapped by CAFE standards. BOOM roasted! Second gen, best gen!

I’ve noticed over time the you always tend to take the safer option. You might want to loosen up a bit in the future. It’ll be good for the spirit.

This makes sense to me, ran Amsoil in all of the gear boxes of my 2001 OR for 180,000 trouble free miles.

You can run thicker oil like a 2nd gen in a 3rd gen for superior results. I've been doing it for 60,000+ miles on the sport (off road truck) and 50,000+ on the off road (daily) truck.

    5W30 in the engine too.

I get that in StL all the time :anonymous:

So, had to laugh. The Mrs decided to drive from VT out to Milwaukee / Brookefield this time. Was fine until she got to the Chicago / 94 area.... at 4 or 5 in the afternoon. Much Accident / Holy Flameded :bananadead: Never heard her curse so much  . You guys that pass that area probably know. She planned the route herself, I was staying out of that trap and any post travel comments.

    Understandable.
The biggest thing I've noticed that affects mileage, is the gas (or gas station).

For them to claim 23.6(city) is asinine.
I won't vouch for the accuracy of the truck but this is the most I've ever seen on my '16, flat hwy

Driving the Chicago area interstates is not for the faint of heart.

Figuring gas mileage is easy with bigger tires.
    33's divide by 2.2
    35's divide by 3.5
    37's divide by 4.1
    That should get you close.
That's not figuring in regear, wind or load.

Just don't tell the events coordinator

Has anyone refilled a CO2 tank using an air compressor and a CO2 fitting/gauge?

Yeah, driving through Chicago can really suck sometimes. I've been avoiding it completely on my last few trips to Florida.

Cruising speed is the biggest factor I've observed in highway driving. My roof basket is the second biggest.

I've only noticed fuel making a significant difference once, when I figured I had gotten some shit gas in Georgia.

So as I wander through this life that I've had, over time, I have noticed a few things.
One of them being an observation about spending money.
I've spent far more of mine than I probably should have, and this group has been wonderful in encouraging more of such foolish spending.
    However...
One of the things i've noticed over time, which btw, I hope to pass this knowledge to my kids to help them NOT make similar mistakes in life, is that sometimes...

Just because you CAN do something, your really don't NEED to to it every time. There are times to stand back and just reconsider the wisdom in making some purchases.

    Case in point:

    IMG_2958.jpg

I'm going with the three strikes rule here:
Strike one - Bought a Dodge
Strike two - Those wheels, especially on a dually
Strike three - How much can you load in that bed?

    Short answer.
You can if your compressor reaches 800-3000psi.
    Mine does not.
