Missed out on a $350 snugtop last weekend, was sold within 2 hours on FB marketplace. Still looking for a fair deal

I found a deal of a lifetime on FB Marketplace today. A 2022 ARE CX Evolve Custom with roof rack and windoors that looks brand new for the modest sum of $1100.00. I just need to have it painted to match my "18 Inferno TRD Sport.

I just picked up a well loved, but still serviceable, Leer 100R for $640, found on FB marketplace. Has win-doors, sliding front glass, fully carpeted. The locks on one of the win-doors needs to be replaced, and the third brake light does not work. Clear coat is peeling in some places as well. The locks look to be an easy fix, same with the third brake light.

I am on the west coast (Portland OR area) and this is a pretty decent deal out here -- west coast is totally expensive. This replaced my GFC which I just recently sold. I had a love/hate relationship with the GFC -- it is a cool idea, but unless you are using it *often* it is a lot of extra weight, much of that weight up high. I am still on the hunt for a Snugtop/ARE/Ranch mid-rise shell. This will cover my needs while I look for what I really want.

Those stickers are worth $640 alone. Sweet deal.

Today a Leer XR 4800, just as I wanted it, with a rack. My last shell was a Snugtop ¾ ton Chevy $2200 new with lots of extras, no rack. That was 10 years ago.

$500 for an ARE fiberglass contractor cap. Currently getting paint matched. Next year sometime, I’ll probably go for the carpeted ceiling and replacing the metal panel with another window.

    Is there a difference between a 2nd gen and 3rd gen 5ft bed ?
I see a few for sale for a 2nd gen in my area, so I'm asking if it will fit my 3rd gen. Thanks

That's a bargain. I'd run that as is.

Because of the change in the tailgate in 2016 the 2 are not the same.

I did for a few months, but having a friend of a friend paint it for free is hard to pass up.

Picked up a Leer 100XR with windoors and sliding windows for $2200 installed. Was lucky enough to see it used on Craigslist. Super stocked with the way it came out. IMG_4321.jpg IMG_4330.jpg

If I’m remembering correctly I paid right around $800 for my Brahma shell back in 1987, this shell was advertised as the toughest shell and was represented on a television show where they flipped a truck and the windows didn’t even break. After 38 years I’m proud to say the shell is still holding up

I bought this in Long Beach California at Discount Camper Shells. It’s used and definitely has it’s blemishes but overall it’s in good shape. I saw the post and had to go buy the next day.

About 5k, went with a Alu-Cab Contour! Expensive but I liked the look, easy side openings.
