So, I broke a bolt on the side of my motor…
    Entirely because I am dumb
    @Bandido can contest…
    Anywho
Said bolt was an 8 or an 18inlb TQ depending on where you looked
Either way, torque wrench did not agree with my setting of 8 and yeah…

so said broken bolt is on my vacuum pump on the driver side front of my motor

to clarify my LT motor in my chvy

it’s been okay for driving to class and shit but I’m starting to wonder if I’m testing my luck
So anyone OC/LA/semi proximal willing to give a homie a hand removing said broken bolt?
I consider it well above my skill and for a dumbass, when I swapped the vacuum pump in the first place I kept getting stuck :anonymous:

willing to drive to you since I have zero garage
not exactly a rush but trying to get to it soon if possible

Just delete that dumb vacuum pump. You’re not running around with cylinder deactivation anymore, are you?

    Need it for brake booster….
Have cam and cam doesn’t produce strong enough/consistent vacuum

I’ve seen the deletes but I haven’t seen a work around for trucks

another reason why gen 4's are better....lol...but weird you cant get enough vacuum without it for the brake booster, wonder if bumping idle could help with that.

Well I was about to put my CV axles in, and I noticed the backside of my hub is dented from the uniball bolt. Any ideas how to make sure this doesn't happen again?

Put some washers between the LCA spindle adapter and the spindle to bring it down some. Or find a a lower profile bolt or a
12 point bolt should work too. Can also
Limit travel so it doesn’t hit.

While I’ll agree the AC “looks” better. The DCSB has a far superior weight bias. So, take it as you will. But one is better out of the box for handling. Plus, 3 seaters are the shit.

Would you say just buy the looks of it that I should get a new hub assembly?

I could try and bend it back but not sure if it's even worth

It’s just the seal not the hub. I would order the DK bolt kit as it is much much lower profile and you shouldn’t have this issue.

Yup. As 906 said. Bend it back. It’ll be fine.

    keeping jersey dirty
DCLB with the rear seats removed is where it's at. Get to vicariously live the regular cab life but retain in-cab and outside storage options

Swag bracket in the mail and gotta swing by HF and pick up a ram but should be crimping some pipe soon. The evolution saw paid for itself the first cut. Wow.

Pretty dang impressive hey? Abrasive disk cutting is now obsolete for you. At least for a chop.

So do I need to make sure this bender is dead nuts 0.0 level? My garage floor is at a slope.

Just zero it to that angle then only reference to the same spot.
