661citytaco, I'm debating on getting this shorter radiator over the longer 4runner version. Any chance you have any picures of the radiator from below? I can't seem to find any dimentions but I'm just curious how far it hangs below the frame rails vs the auto version. Or atleast how much shorter this one is then the auto version. Thanks

    I’m auto v6.

I replaced the Denso 221-3136 with the Koyo and they both have near identical measurements, though I didn’t measure the koyo, here’s the measurement for the Denso. The Koyo hangs about 1.5” below the frame. The koyo core is 1.75” thick, 2 row.

    Denso
Dimensions - Core Height: 20.6250 Dimensions - Core Thickness: 1.250 Dimensions - Core Width: 24.6250

    auto shroud vs manual shroud
    Manual shroud #TO3110111

Might as well run the 170 degree thermostat.
    Thermostat 170°: 90916-03107
    Thermostat gasket: 16325-62010

    Appreciate the reply!

This is what I was looking for, I actually have a 4runner, it seems they have a longer core. Mine is like an anchor, probably 3" below the frame rail, I remember seeing in the past others had swapped Tacoma radiaitors for better clearance when doing a SAS.

    Thanks again!

Just remember the longer core is going to do a better job cooling because the more surface area. Summer heat with AC, trans cooler and trails you need all the surface area possible. 3.4 aluminum heads and heat don’t mix well

I just dropped the all-Alumimim Koyo into my '99 MT truck. On first impressions they seem like good quality units. I did run into minor fitment issues though.

The hangers needed to be bent in a little beyond 90 degrees, and the bolt hole span for the plastic shroud was spaced a little longer than factory. This meant I had to take a rat tail file to the plastic mounting ears to effectively lengthen the bolt hole span of the factory shroud. Again, not huge issues but for almost $400 I would expect a perfect fit. Here's to a long life filled with long life coolant!
