Someone's tired of being lazy

 

Clutch pedal has been feeling pretty inconsistent recently. Sometimes (seemingly especially after sitting a couple days) it’s super smooth, other times it’s got some vibratory feedback. It’ll switch on the fly, half the drive might be great the other half not so much. Fights me a bit sometimes getting into gear when the trans is cold too

Master cylinder? Or could be a few different things?
Clutch itself is somewhat new, think it’s only got like <40k on it, before that it was original. Master isn’t all that old either I believe it was replaced at same time, but shop might’ve put shit parts in

 

Kind of sounds like the master or the slave is going

yeaaaa especially if it was an aftermarket MC. they don't seem to hold up

 

Good, although I don't know if I'm imagining it or not but I feel like she's way more attached to me than she used to be before we had to put Bronx down.

I mean she's always been my "shadow" but even if I go to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water (leaving the room) she insists on being right beside me.

I don't want to have to get another dog just for her

 

So fixing this won’t net me 50whp

 

No but you might scrape an extra 10 above 4500 RPM

Is Aisin good for these?
Looks like the master in it right now is an FTE

 

Yup that's OEM

 

Idk i use them for all my Toyota parts needs. Never had a issue with their parts.

 

As long as you get actual aisin parts and not Amazon counterfeits

i gotta get rid of all of my waste oil lol, probably have 20 gallons. one chore I hate. always messy

 

Just buy a deuce and a half and run the oil as fuel

 

idk about that but maybe an old IDI would do the trick

 

Lol. Ive been trying to pare down my collection too. Probably a dozen 5 qt bottles


I bought one of those big thin metal pans for catching drips to do all my pouring over. Saves a ton of cleanup, i just prop it in the drain pan and all the oil runs off.
