I am really disappointed that my 2024 hybrid off rd did not come with these 3 auxiliary switches! Can these be added. Does the wiring exist behind the dash or do i need to wire them to the engine compartment.

AUX switches only come with the upgrade and premium packages. Standard on PRO and TH.

You’ll need to run wires and add switches.

    Too poor for mods
I feel the same, didn't want anything from the OR premium package but those switches being prewired! I don't even know what I would use them for yet but something will come along I'm sure.

Same as everyone else had to do in ALL previous years. Tons of threads on this forum to search along with YouTube.

I wish I knew better. At the time and for the price of the trd off rd hybrid, it sucks that I don't have those.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the wiring is there you just need some additional parts. Do any non AUX havers have the harnesses in the engine or footwell?

Well… You can add most of what you want. But you can’t add the Hybrid system! You made the right decision.

I feel like I have seen people finding wiring for the inverter systems and bed lighting or air compressor that they didn't have. Maybe it was just speculation and wasn't really there.

I was looking on you tube and I saw this video, so I started to poke around inside my hood and I found a covered connection next to window washer fluid filler shown in the video and it had a cover. When I removed the cover, I saw a connection so I think that means some of the wiring harness exist, but clearly the switches inside don't and who know how all of that connects on the inside. I wonder if anyone knows. Hopefully the switches all come together with a plug and play options.

Have you even removed the switch cover and looked? Toyota has the habit of taping the connectors to the harness when switches are not installed.

Panel is held by horizontal plugs. Pull straight back to remove.

Re: That video. That youtuber missed that there is a connector cable with its own pigtail. The cable will plug into two different plugs. You should see two plugs taped very close to each other. One will stick up closer to you than the other. The forum link provided goes into further detail.

Toyota should prewire and add the auxiliary switches to every truck. Or make a trim piece with out all the blanks. I wouldn't want to buy a new $60k 4Runner with a dash full of blanks.

    Edit

How warranty friendly is it going to be when you add electrical accessories to the prewired switches?
