...no one is buying bikes at the end of riding season (unless it's a stupid good deal). I wish I had that kind of spare cash though, I'd buy it for my friend that gave me his Tuono. He put about 70k on his 08 FZ1 before it developed an incurable electrical issue.

Just ordered some street tires for the Klx. We will see how they do. They are the shinko 705’s.

They are a very underrated motorcycle that can easily go 80k miles without a problem. I have already installed the upgraded rotor with the internal magnets.

I've never been much of a rear brake user, I think it's partially from not having the right flexibility/mobility in my right foot. Got a thumb brake to try. Just need to measure and order a custom length line

That’s interesting. I don’t use much rear brake either. Will be waiting for your review on it.

A lot of GP and other racers use them. Better control/feedback, easier to modulate in a corner, etc. I can't wait to try it

@but why tho @nd4spdbh look at these non Super Tenere plebes having to use their rear brakes separately instead of it being linked like ours.

Seriously though, I had no idea they did a hand control for it. That's pretty slick.

Left hand rear brake via a little lever above the clutch is a thing in the crazy Enduro world so you can keep the balls of your feet on the pegs at all times. That stated it's rare and I don't think I have EVER seen a thumb rear brake! @Wyckedan that's a neat setup.

Speaking of linked brakes yeah it's definitely made me lazy I'll get on my xt225 and just grab the front and it usually takes like one or two turns from the house for me to go ugh I have to move my rear foot.
I do wish there was a way on the super tenere to turn off the linking but keep ABS on for those spirited canyon riding days where I'd like ultimate control.

I think I found the GSXR 750 I am going to buy. It’s a 2023 750z so race colors ( doesn’t matter) with a slip on, 1200 miles for 10k. New they were 12999, then add tax title license freight and set up and you are over 15k. So 12 years newer than the one I bought and only $1500 more than I paid. Plus $500 less than what I got for insurance money for the last one. Kind of excited for this one. First mod is going to be helibars to raise them up 2”. Should be way more comfortable.

I've found you can do any combination of strange hand controls you want. Disabled riders have kinda changed things. Dual side clutch and brake, left side throttle, etc. There's a company in England will make you whatever you need

I have been watching this bike and he originally had it for sale @ 11,500 . Then he dropped to 11 then 10.5 then finally 10k . That was when I decided it was time.

Have a buddy that only had his left hand. He rode his wr450f with a left hand throttle, clutch and brake.

It was maintenance/project day for me. Mostly non moto but the xt225 did get some love.

Moms 07 4runner with 245k miles got new; power steering fluid, serpentine belt, spark plugs, air filter along with MAF sensor cleaning, PCV valve cleaning, throttle body cleaning and a good light hose down of the engine bay and radiator stack (with coil cleaner). Thing runs like a gdamn top. Next on that is a transmission pan drop for magnet cleaning / strainer replacement and the full Monty 12qt fluid swap in a few weeks when I have the time. (Pan has never been dropped but full fluid swap was done 120k miles ago). My mom was like hey... I'm getting older and would love to make this thing last the rest of my driving life which isn't realistically more than a decade or so from now so I don't have to deal with learning something new etc etc. DONE DEAL whatever I can do. *sniff sniff tear at the thought of parents getting older*

I scored an Onan Microquiet 4000 RV/Trailer genset for FREE on Friday that "didn't run and had fuel issues". A full once over, quick carb clean and new oil, thing runs like a top. I'll be able to flip it for a grip.

    20240921_183537.jpg

And finally, the round town runner XT225!!! I have been busy at work during the day so when I get home and need to run local errands and whatnot at night around town I do so via the XT225. Every time I do I have a grin ear to ear. It's so much of a legit fun, reliable, easy, comfortable around town bike. I'm so glad I decided to take a step back and realize the Grom was a novelty and got rid of it.

The xt225 hit 500mi on its "new clutch break in / upgraded ball bearing main cam bearing" oil so it needed a change. I decided to flip to using the newer Shell Rotella T6 15w-40 on it (my super tenere MUCH prefers this oil over the T6 5w-45) and will do the same for the wr450 when I change its oil soon to not have to have a bunch of different oils around. The T6 15w-40 fits all the specs of my motos no problem in the temperature range I ride them.

Easiest on a computer, but I think you can look on your phone, too..

    1) marketplace
    2) selling
    3) your listings (all left side for those 3 steps)
    4) click on the listing you want to look at, it'll pull up the middle "your listing" square
    5) the number with the arrow next to it is the last 14 days
    6) if you hit the "insights" tab, you can then see more and go last 7, 14, or 30 days and see clicks, shares, and saves.

15 MPH wreck and a fall that was one in a million. Broken tib/fib with dislocation.

External fixator in the am, then plates/screws the week after.
