Currently, smoked out tail lights, front tow hooks, bed lights, blacked out the interior, added fake leather seat covers that look straight from the factory, nothing major yet. In the works- Smoked out rear 3rd tail light, Front bumper, and rear bumper will be replacing the cheap OEM crap. I plan on getting a Bilstein 3"-4" lift with Mickey Thompson Baja boss A/T 33's
Tell me what I should know pros, cons any input would be great.

    How's the ride quality?
What size tires would you recommend

I hear the Micky Thompson are quite, fuel efficiency isn't much different, and they are good in rain, snow. I'm looking at the 33" with 17" or 18" rims

Give me your input recommendations or good or bad, would be great!

General rule is not to lift over 2.5" if you like your cv angles. Anything over 3" you into drop bracket territory rather than a suspension lift. This involves cutting out the cross member. Major con there as far as I'm concerned.

The thing you haven't included here is what are you looking to do with the truck. Mall crawler, ride road cruiser or a weekend trail rig. That will all play into what style and supporting mods you will want to go with it.

Lastly unless your sticking to a skinny 33 that could be fitted at stock height with the right wheel offset your going to see a pretty healthy drop in fuel economy with most 285's especially if your in an E load which I thought the mickey Thompsons are once your at a 285.

Other considerations are angled axle shims, carrier bearing drops, clamshell bushing, swaybar spacers, wheel offset, cab mount chop or not, custom high castor alignment. All of these are important with a lift.

There are hundreds of lift threads on here I would hit the search button and start ready everything and more has been covered on here

What is your end goal? You can fit 33s stock.

Yeah, I second what these guys are saying. My original lift was OME Nitrocharger Sports with 887 Springs which gave 2” in the front. I got 1.5” in the rear from an Icon Add a Leaf. Have 255/80/R17 pizza cutters and I didn’t rub at all after I put a sway bar relocation kit in there, then everything was all good. Just got an icon rxt on option 2 in the rear for 2.25” lift and OME Nitrocharger Plus’s With 4004 springs and 15mm and 10mm preload spacers on driver and passengers side respectively which give me around 2.5”. Like others have said, if you go above 3” you’ll get really poor cv angles which will wear those joints and boots out faster. Then you run into the issue of your coils possibly hitting your UCA on full droop, which necessitates limit straps. In short, once you go over 3, you start wearing stuff out pretty quickly. I wouldn’t go over three if I was you. Anything over two you will need upper control arms

I appreciate your input, definitely gives me something to think about the variables getting the lift.

So, I won't be doing any major off roading, although it would definitely be fun, maybe if I had a 2nd vehicle and the Tacoma was my weekend fun ride. Any off roading would be when I take my atv to the trails. I'm looking for a little wider stance than the factory. The picture here is the look I want, it looks pretty damn sweet lol

Thanks, but I've always wanted a lifted truck,

I've added a few little things, the front red tow hooks, the "mustache" hood deflector, window deflectors, smoked out tail lights, tough country black exhaust top, blacked out the windows, tail gate side step, I bought a 3rd brake like that's smoked out, but haven't installed yet.

TRD 2" lift shocks Icon AAL (gave me 1" lift with OL leaf out) 17x8.5" -12mm Trail Edition OEM replica wheels by FSW BF Goodrich KO2s (285 70 17) ECGS bushing OME carrier bearing drop kit TRD Pro skid plate Truxedo roll up Tonneau cover MESO - led interior light kit, blackout kit and gashole Toyota door sill protectors and bed mat
5100s all around with stock coils, set to top clip in the front. Icon add a leaf in the rear. This will give you 2” front and 1.5” rear lift.

17x8” wheel. 0 offset. 285/70/17 tires. Good alignment from a shop that knows what they are doing.

This will give an awesome “look”, be super functional and won’t screw crap up on your truck you would end up regretting.

    Good luck!

That truck looks to have about 3", maybe 3½" lift. That is definitely territory you do not want to be in without drop brackets. DB kits actually start at about 4" lift, and while they do a far better job maintaining your CV & tie rod angles, there is the crossmember thing mentioned above which many people don't want to get into if there isn't good reason for it (which sounds like may the case here since you have an ATV to play with).

2" lift, 32-33" AT tires on 17" wheels should look good and do well offroad. Skip the 18s.
The Bilstein kits are definitely worth the $$$.

Yeah, I definitely don't want to go into messing anything up, and throwing things out of whack.

Thanks for Putting things into a more realistic perspective for me in helping me make a decision.

People joke about the lack of sense in TW ... thus the :spending: picture you can add. But there is a world of experience from people who have"been there, done that, wished they never did".

Words I TRY to live by, but fail too often ... "Stupid people never learn, smart people learn from their own mistakes, wise people learn from the mistakes of others".

Screw the nay sayers, go full Floridaman. Also make sure to put a Salt Life window decal on the back so that everyone knows you went surf fishing once.

He already has a Punisher type sticker on the back window. A salt life sticker has no place around there

Haha! I was going to spend at least around 8k, but, for now I'm going to financially responsible as much as I want to get it jacked up and will need a ladder to get in.

    I am not dude sir!

I'll pass on the saltlife decal lol I already have my punisher "when Tyranny Becomes Law, Rebellion becomes duty" decal with my "buckle up, I wanna try something" to the left, and to the right "should have come with a warning" and of course Chuck Norris security decal

WOW! $8K ! you can basically do anything you want . . . . well with in reason. For what you described how you will use your truck and $8K (actually for much less) I would do as follows:
    To get your ~2" lift
Bilsteins 5100s front and rear (keep your stock coils)
AAL in the rear ( these are fine for mild off road and nice on pavement too)

Cab mount chops CMC) are cheap $250 - $300 I would guess
get one it's worth it to not deal with rubbing issues. Any shop will do it.

Get some nice wheels ( what you like but Method 703 would be perfect)
then some nice tires 33s 285/70R17 (again what suits your fancy - everyone has their favs)

I would add some SPC UCA (upper control arms) only because they are more flexible and great for getting
a good alignment once you go beyond 32s IMHO - probably get some push back on that
but that's what I swear by.

And maybe some very minor trimming if any at all up front with the bumper . . . may not but no big
    deal either way

Then finish it off with an X-trek grill ( not a Pro grill which are very nice as well except
    everybody gets them)

All for substantially less than $8K
