4th Gen Tacoma (2024+)

That is beautiful! The Trail Hunter is my favorite trim on the new 4G tacos. That color looks really good, reminds me of my old Tacoma that was Pyrite Mica. One thing I hate about TH is the base MSRP. If they lower the price and the new turbocharged engine doesn’t have the same effect as the new tundras. Then that might be my next truck in the future with my bronco.

 

I guess I'll find out soon if it's true , got my 24 Tundra yesterday but I think the changed it

 

The part was updated but some are still cracking in 24 but could be old part bin, who knows. Congrats on new truck.

No. It is literally the same thing with EVER new gen car and truck. All the issues that are inherently normal with any manufacture get the most play because social media needs clicks and likes to feel important now in this world. The issues it is having are no different than when the JL Wrangler came out, the new Ford Bronco and the list goes on. The folks like myself and the tens of thousands of others that have had a problem free, lovely new ownership experience don’t come on and post “all is great here” posts.

 

I don’t think “Toyota is the same as Ford and Chrysler” was the argument you wanted to make.

I think the analogy was about the click bait "the sky is falling" focused coverage that all new big name releases get.

Happy people don't make posts about being happy. Selection bias or complaint bias is strong.

 

This was the mantra for all those owners until their engine took a dump. Spend plenty of time there, daily engine failure posts hardly isn’t a small bias.

Yes it is, 100k+ Tacomas sold. I doubt you're seeing more than double digits of people with problems.

 

I don't care who makes the product, I'm not going to give praise for it living up to my expectations when everything is working right. Those were my expectations when I agreed on the price. Like when service wants a five star review. Why should you get five stars when you completed a service I agreed to pay for. I expect the service to be done right, I paid for it. You don't get a reward for living up to my expectations.

They started building them las week. Toyota seems like they've always dragged their feet releasing their trucks new year info on their site.

 

That looks impressive. The ford performance tune for $700.00 takes the RR torque to 536 though.

 

Yes but your engine warranty drops to 3/36 starting from the day the vehicle was put in service, not when the tune was added.
