So.... go back to the part about the switch failing and livening up the face plate screws... i'd replace every GD switch in that house, that should not happen. It sucks about the guitar parts, but that switch failure is the making of an electrical fire!

Axe fx II, mk II I think. I've got a work around in the meantime using the rear input. Doesn't sound as nice or dynamic but it works

Wheeeeeeewwwwwwww. It's slapped up for now - I need to let the cover warm up and tweak.it, and do some stuff to it beyond what the factory says, but damn it feels really nice.to have enclosed space at the spot. I'll faff with the cover when the conex arrives Tuesday and start stashing materials for the floor/flashing/etcetera, hopefully to have a 4 seasons shelter before it gets too too cold.

I want to frame the end walls and put in pax doors, rather than screwing with the cargo zippers, among other things.

Nice! Can you provide purchase details? The Amazon portable garages I used collapsed under a heavy snow load last winter and it is not looking like a garage will be in the future anytime soon. This looks more robust and I like the cross support pieces being slightly lower to hopefully allow the snow load to slide off instead of getting stuck.

Hazard Fraud's "CoverPro" brand. There are a couple tricks to really strengthen these frames up for heavy snow loads - I'm waiting on a spool of aircraft cable and some hardware, I'll be fixing up the cover and doing those modifications this week once the stuff gets here, and with those in place, these will easily handle 2 feet of snow on top without bowing or sagging. Aside from the tension cables and changes to the way the factory cover straps are anchored, the other big thing with these is securing ALL of the feet to the ground. The frame as-is is pretty dang strong, I was doing chin-ups off the ridge to get a feel for it.

The frame itself is at least as good as the $$$$$ pop-ups (appears to be medium wall 1 1/4" tubing, with a surprisingly alright powdercoat), the cover is decent enough, and in 3-4 years when the cover is toast just replace it with metal roof panels and self tappers. If you poke the tubes for "Coverpro Garage Modifications" you can get an idea of what you can do with these things if you (like a lot of HF stuff) treat it like a kit and not an out-of-the-box product.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you know the model number or sku number? I looked at the web site and I only see one with the silver/gray tarp covering that is sized as 12 X 20 so I think that is the correct one but just figured it did not hurt to check.

Checking in, as it's been a few weeks since I've been on the site. Have used Falken Wildpeak tires for the past several years on 17" 4R rims and been very happy with them. I've "rolled the dice" during that time, never changing out the factory spare 16" OR "shorter" tire. Plan on buying new tires in the next few months and will keep the best of the 4 as a spare, but I'm now in search of a 17" steel Sport rim. Figured I'd ask here first if someone had one laying around. Thanks, Bill in Plymouth

Let me know what you do with the aircraft cables; string them over the top and onto the bars? I have the same tent and did a bit of reading, have the ground anchors and planning to make some modifications as well but didn’t see much about reinforcing the top.

No experience with it but I wonder if maybe the roof heater cable would be able to be used with it?

It could but presents difficulties for me. The location is quite a distance from power and running enough cable to cover the roof is not practical. Plus if I had just remembered to clear the damn snow off the portable garages they would still be standing right now. It would have cost me all of 15 minutes.

Not a bad idea but more than I want to spend. I would put that into lumber first then build a nice shed.
