    I bet they don't; I haven't returned anything in awhile but I remember the last time I did, UPS store was packed full of nothing but returns

    One guy was actually returning a stool :rofl:

    Wells Fargo is phasing out their safety deposit boxes where we have ours, so Rebecca ordered a home safe off Amazon and then didn't like the size of it. They actually offered us $100 in credit to keep it, fucker was so heavy.

    Yeah I always try and make sure I package it up and have a slip printed out ready to go, I think the worst ones are people that just drop off an item that's been opened with no packaging or slip/info printed out and then they have to do all the work.

    I did like an inch at a time on each face of the patch, then went to the other side of the truck, back and forth.

    Oh dang, never seen that

    The last one I did was an aluminum knob for my bottle jack

    Came in a small bag, and the return just said return the item in original packaging

    I get that QR code that I have to show them and that's it

    Also, if anyone finds an off the wall random 12v air compressor that draws less than 30 amps with decent discharge lemme know

    I think i remember thinking that since im welding heavier metal with a small welder, i have to go slower, which means more heat overall transferred into the frame. So i play it safe, unless im in a hurry.

    As far as measuring goes...it does get annoying taking my pants off :(

    @Kwikvette
    saw a cracked and broken weld break yesterday, it was shiny all the way through the core of the weld, the base metal also broke away where it was fused with the weld. the brightness made me think high nickel stainless wire used on mild steel?

    Picture?

    Last time I saw shiny metal when it was cracked was on a vise (it was cast).

    What was the item anyway? I know the few times I welded on cast metal, I needed to really pre-heat the base metal for proper fusion. But I don't have much experience welding on cast in general :bananadead:

    yeah, the inside of the weld looks like broken cast. the parts it was holding together were both mild steel. remember the trailer spare mount I welded a couple years ago? :laughing:

    I once returned a trailer hitch to the Amazon counter in the back of Kohls. For whatever reason, they set those up so you have to walk straight through the middle of the store to get to them.

    The hitch was far enough out of spec that it wouldn't bolt up to my car--probably another example of heat deformation from bad welding.
