Need a big assist from someone in the Santa Rosa area please!

Family and I were traveling back to Texas and my wife accidentally left her Yeti Rambler at the Love's off I40 and 84. We didnt realize it was missing until we got to Lubbock (trying to keep a teething 11 month old entertained/soothed is tough lol), but I called the store and an employee found the bottle and stored it in the managers office.

Could someone please go by the store to pickup the bottle and ship to me? I will gladly pay for time and effort (and shipping of course). This bottle has a ton of sentimental value and it would mean a lot to get it back. Thanks!!

I'm going to be driving through Santa Rosa around the first week of October. If you haven't gotten your Yeti sorted by then, hit me up around the 28th of September and we'll organize something.

New here but already getting out and finding some cool stuff. Learning that NM is quite terrible at building roads. Twice now I have ended up on highways that turn to dirt. Today's was the most brutal wash boarded road I've encountered. But all part of the adventure.

What's up man? I remember you from some of the Idaho threads when I lived up that way and from the @turbodb trip reports. What brought you down to NM?

I'm not, just south of you a couple hours by Ruidoso. If you ever make it down this way hit me up, we have some good camping and places to get out.
I was reading the last trip report, you get the taco up and running yet or still rocking the van full time?

I've been down as far as Soroocco a couple times. Some really pretty country, reminds me of SE Oregon in a lot of ways.

The trucks never not been up and running, it was lowered for a bit which was fun but usually sat in my garage. I had a Mercedes I drove most of the time but I sold that back in July, and with the truck now on point duty, we put a new bumper, the canopy, and the old suspension back on with new/used alcan leafs. So it can go off-road again, but I'm still going to take the van most of the time as it is just so much more comfortable. The truck really is just my daily driver and will get used to wheel with the guys in those trips. The van gets the other trips.

Oh cool, I wasn't sure of the status of the truck, that's good. Socorro is a weird little place, but lots of cool stuff to discover. If you head out towards Magdalena and then head south out of there you get into the Gila and there is a lot of areas to explore out there.

Yeah I made it as far as the VLA on 60, could see the Gila to the south but didn't have time since I stopped for a nap along the way :anonymous: speaking of, 169 north from Magdalena turns into the most god awful washboard road I've ever encountered, brutal. I'll make it back that way one of these weekends. I think I'll try going north this weekend.

Btw this is how the truck sits now.

Oh nice. How far north are you looking to go? Jemez or further than that?

Probably Jemez and loop over to Santa Fe, might hit a little dirt but not much. Just tipping my toes to get the lay of the land.

There are some pretty cool spots in the Jemez as well. We have a couple spots that are really nice and away from the crowds. It can get pretty busy up there with the proximity to Albuquerque.

Worse one is one of the roads to Chaco. Considering it's importance you would think they would maintain it

Oh man, I just looked that up, that place looks incredible!! I'll definitely have to check it out. Thanks for the tip!

Poked around near the river today and finally broke out the big lens. There's some great birds to photograph here.

Some nice places to the south and east of Albuquerque on the backside of the Manzanos, like 4th of July Canyon. Just don’t stop in Chilili Land Grant, they’re not partial to strangers since about 1650
