First time Tacoma owner and there's a few mods I'd like to do. I bought a new 2011 DC Sport with the extended warranty. With regards to mods what do I need to stay away from to keep the warranty intact?

mods should not void warrenty unless it can be proven to be the cause of the problem

The more important question is "how hard will I have to fight the dealership to make them honor my warranty, even though it's valid".

While you may be *legally* in the right to have warranty work done on a modded truck, they can basically tell you you have to drag it out of them in a court or arbitration judgment, at which point you have to decide if the time, money, and hassle of that is worth more than the repair bill.

In other words, your warranty may still be valid, it's just not practical to use it.
