    My son bought a 2001 Integra from a private party a few weeks ago and we got actual metal plates handed to us when we got the registration and transferred the title. I was shocked.

    We had to recycle our plates on the 4 runner and my Tundra. Which was really nice cause it takes me forever to memorize my plates.

    probably got lucky. When I was transferring the title on my Datsun the agency said they had only been getting 2-3 sets of plates every month. While I was there they had 3 people getting replacement temp tags.

    I'm tempted to run my truck without a front plate... but I don't want a reason to get pulled over. I've heard people are getting ticketed when parking in cities without a front plate :eek:

    I haven't had one for about 6 years... I frequent Bellevue and Seattle regularly, and travel all around the PNW for work... I've yet to be hassled.

    I think trucks get a bit of a free pass, where sports cars and the like don't... kind of like how I rarely get bothered (1 ticket in almost 20 years) for speeding on my motorcycle.

    I'm a Right Lane Ranger, so being pulled over while driving isn't a concern. Even when parked I'd think my "Veteran Overland" sticker would detour a ticket. Unless they're a ROTC type. Then no one is safe...

    think front plates at least down here in OR are a secondary thing. I've been "ticketed" for not having a front plate but its always been like the last thing on any ticket I got as a teen. as an adult never been stopped for just a plate and I've been "warned" about not displaying a front plate a few times. heck my Gambler500 car only has a rear plate and I've never been hassled.

    I just stuff the front plate under my driver's seat with a broken plastic mount... "Sorry officer, someone just backed into me in the Safeway parking lot and broke my plate mount. I'll get a new one ordered wiki wiki."
