What do I miss the most and least from the TW Forum now that I have sold my Tacoma and Purchased a 2024 4Runner. In comparison to the 4Runner Forum?

    Miss the most:
"What have you bought today gun related"
    "General Insults to postings"
    "Boot Dancing Girls"
    "What are you drinking today/tonight"
"Guys that argue endlessly about towing capacity of a Tacoma"

    Miss the least:
    "For Shauna"
For the life of me I don't understand how this posting continues on and on with the same content.

4Runners.com fucking sucks, same few idiots on there who know zero technical anything and get butt hurt super easily it’s just the same damn what size tires can I fit and how do I install raptor lights

Tacomaworld should be ashamed to be sister sites with those bozos unfortunately the only knowledge 4Runner site t4r sucks to navigate it’s so bloated with malware I don’t even try.

bit off topic but have you noticed if your 2nd gen taco drives better than the 4Runner? I have my 2nd gen taco and 5th gen 4Runner and my Tacoma for some reason is so much smoother and linear to drive and my 4Runner only has 18k miles on it go figure

I'm a believer in leaving my vehicles stock, just my preference. I might add a few do dads here and there but basically leave the mechanicals and suspension stock.
Driving comparison to from my old 2006 Tacoma TRD 2WD Quad Cab short bed? (Drove for 17 years and almost 200k miles) I like my new 2024 4Runner and the way it drives.
Having front and rear disk brakes are a vast improvement to the 06 Tacoma for stopping power. I always thought the brakes on my 06 were weak. 4Runner rides solid and smooth.
Nice to have a backup camera for this old fart at age 71. Ability to haul shit? Now when my wife finds another piece of furniture we really don't need I can say, "Sorry dear, it's not going to fit
    in the 4Runner"

Tacoma World members appear to be better cooks and drink more than the guys on the 4Runner Forum. And they like guns!

the 4Runner has an extremely low ground clearance especially if you have kdss, the fuel tank also hangs down super low, I had a stock 5th gen 4Runner and scraped a few times just doing Holcomb valley in big bear (fire road)

I've noticed a couple of interesting things hanging under my new 4Runner. I'll have to break out my crawler and have a look sometime. Maybe I'll fit? I'll take my phone with me
    in case I get stuck!

15in longer wheelbase has to account for something.
The site is an infant compared to here. Off-topic is non-existant but beyond tire size threads and new member posts, I can find answers pretty quick.

FYI the For Shauna thread was started for Shauna due the devastating loss of her youngest son. It just kept going from there. The thing is if you don’t personally like a thread why would you keep looking at it? It’s obvious that you viewed it more than a few times due to your strong opinion. If you personally don’t like a thread just change the channel, don’t keep looking at it. No need to complain based on your personal feelings. It’s a pretty popular thread since its had over 25000 posts. Lot of threads I don’t personally like. I just don’t view them any more once I determine I don’t like them.

Her son passed away at a young age. People were offering support and comfort.

She is actually "salt of the earth" and would highly recommend anyone to introduce themselves to her.

I would also read her thread...maybe the first 10 pages. Some life lessons. I have lost family and friends very similar and it hits you in the face like an airborne dildo.

Yes ^ +1 for Shauna’s support. She is and was very kind, even to a stranger like me.

OH FFS this is funny! Okay, I agree, I've read it, and it is heart wrenching and a tear jerker thread. Just a mild agreement/observation here, not ganging up on the OP for his statement, and even his statement I had no intention of replying to as I was just going to keep on scrolling, until I found this post #13.
