I had the same issue with the rear blocks. Switched to the Icon AAL and it’s much better.

    This and that
16” trd pro wheel. The matte black. I don’t like black wheels and bought them because they are so light.
    I had e rated 265/75 ko2s on there also
Now I’m on 17” trd semas, open country rt trail LT rating
The wheels are supposedly #22 vs #25
While the tires are #52 vs #43
    But also 31.65” vs 32.2”

I don’t know what pavement is unless I drive over 6 hours away. Cooper strongholds in E. 30 front 28 rear. 1694 miles in 3 weeks 1543 of that off-road.

Not an upgrade per say, but if I'd do it over again I'd get an automatic instead of the 6MT. Its just not as fun and smooth to shift as I hoped it would be. Sometimes it seems like I almost have to force it go from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd. Did the accumulator delete mod and that helped a little.

I feel the same way at times. I did the accumulator delete mod like at 15k I think, but felt better shifting around 33k. I have 37k at the moment.

I have also learned that if you really like your truck and want to continue to really like your truck, limit your time as much as possible on TW.....unlike what I am doing right now.

I think the only mod i might regret is getting full ARB skid plates over something with fluid change hatches like RCI.

Overall, did a lot of research and chose wisely due to being poor

Had to find my login info..

I bought my taco with the full arb skid. Only removed the skid plate once to install the following valve. Now oil changes are just fishing the hose on there and opening the valve. Just point the drain towards the passenger front tire.

I also recommend the metal oil filter housing and that that Amazon kit with metal parts to drain and remove the oil filter housing. Mostly mess-free oil changes (the oil filter always dribbles some, but very easy to wipe off the skid plate) and no skid plate removal, other than trans & transfer case fluids which is not often.

Hell yeah, i appreciate you taking the time to reply. I have a fumoto valve but have not attempted to remove the oil filter with the plate on. Sounds like you’re saying there is enough room to get in there even with the plate on. I’ll give it a shot, my maintenance reminder light just came on today

Yup, plenty of room. I have a lift which probably helps but if you turn your wheels all the way to the left you should be able to get at the filter without issue on the drivers side. Plenty of room between the filter and skid plate to get at it though. If you don't have the fancy oil filter drain I'm pretty sure the plastic one that comes with new filters can also take a hose so your not draining onto the skid plate.

As far as removing the filter housing, it might be too tight to get a strap wrench in there. If you have a filter wrench that'll take a 3/8 " drive ratchet though there's plenty of room.

There's even more room if you pull the tires!

Although I just realized/remembered my front bumper has been butchered to install an aftermarket bumper. So its completely possible I'm full of shit and you have some plastic in the way depending on your setup.

Back in 22 on a tail end of Covid in California toppers were hard to get, local store had a premade Snugtop. Since there was no waiting I bought it. QC on the Mexican ones are kind of shit for the cost.

I wish I had been more patient and ordered something that looks better.
