I put a stupid amount of work into that house not knowing WTF I was ever doing back then. I know more now. My current house is a 60's "spec" type house that were all built the same along this road at the same era. The trim isn't near as nice, but that would be a helluva lot of work to replace it.

My preference as well. I like 5/4 for the top and 3/4 on sides.

I just used 3/4 all around. For the top detail I just ripped down some square door stop moulding

They didn't really have the pre-made stuff like they do up North here. Even that is getting hard to find.

The bitch of it is the lady who bought that house ripped everything out within a year. She wanted to make it look like one of those magazine's...

Well off to get my flu shot and then off for some interior work at that estate on Cumberland Foreside. Going to bring along my cordless Milwuakee 6 gallon shop vac and hook it up to my miter and track saws to see how it performs.

Need to remove and trim 3 solid wood doors from 1913.

We've come full circle I guess. Was common back before the 60's, but now it's more of a status type thing. We're doomed as a society...

Back when you could buy a house from the Sears catalogue for like $2500.
