Love how that opens up with stripping that damn screw. I absolutely fucked that screw up when I did the ug mount lmao. Ended up resorting to drilling a hole through the screw and forcing a wood screw into the mangled mess I made

Whichever way you decide to have it oriented, it'll stay that way since the ball gets clamped into the mount

The JIS head is tricky. If you must use a Phillips, an impact driver is less likely to strip the head than a hand driver in my experience.

There are two fan clutch options; one has an orange band and the other has a green band

All I did was suggest replacing it when he was in there replacing the fan blade - the green band came on vehicles equipped with the tow package (and whatever else prompted that option) and it simply engages at a lower temp than the orange band variant

Certainly some stuff on there, but I am very familiar with solidworks, I have my own designs to print

Can you use high temp silicone or something to put this stuff on surfaces? Anyone?

I don't think you're supposed to affix that with silicone. A regular adhesive epoxy might work but you don't want to cover too much of the reflective portion or its pointless.

Thinking about using it inside my battery box, keep heat out in the summer and help regulate during the winter.

Color choice was cheap but not smart

A vent might help the most, unless you're also worried about cold when that comes

I'm putting a 12v fan that'll turn on a X° and then off again. But that'll only do so much at 110°.

I'm running a heat trace through the box also, usually kept at 150° or so during the winter, might pit roll insulation between that line and the batteries to keep them from getting too hot

idk if that makes any sense, I tried

Anyone have a recommendation for a sunshade that fits out trucks? The one I have was great in the Corolla and AMG but is too big for the truck and a pain in the ass to use. Our windshield are much smaller than modern cars so finding the right for is kinda a pain.
