Busted pin on hitch electrical. Sadly it's the power pin (black). Took it apart and want to replace the piece shown in the Pic here. Are these pieces universal? Can I take one out of a different 7 pin connector and put it in my Tacoma harness?

Given the amount of corrosion I would discard that one and splice in a whole new plug. And use dielectric grease to help prevent corrosion in the future.

I may have misread the post...I assumed you wanted to replace just the busted pin but you may have meant the whole unit. Yes, all 7 pin connectors should be same.

^^This, was thinking the piece I am holding might be universal to 7 pin connectors. Was thinking I would buy a generic plug and just take the piece i need out of it. Saves me a bunch on soldering and rewiring work on the harness.

I just noticed I accidemtally made two threads on this in an attempt to edit the OP. My apologies. Hopefully a mod can merge them
