Nothing in October but November looks pretty good to me. As for cam gussets I got KPO offroad ones and they seem to have good quality but I dont think theres much difference between them all unless you are talking about the Marlin kit or JD lower pivots. Hell we could even just weld on some small angle and call it a day if you wanted. @AllTacosFloat left some at my place for that reason

This is my second PC build, I had good luck using Newegg the first time around and didn't do much shopping elsewhere on my current build. I have been slowly building this one and watching/waiting for sales so I got most parts at some discount. I may have done better elsewhere but the PC building world is a bit new to me so I just used what I know haha.

    Current build:
    B650E Taichi Lite MB (195)
    Ryzen 7800X3D CPU (365)
    Corsair Liquid Elite AIO (168)
    GSkill Flare X5 RAM (105)
    WD Black SN850X (81)
    Fractal North XL Case (140)
    MSI 850W Power Supply (117)

Needing and waiting patiently for the GPU. As tempting as the top line 4090 is, I cant spend almost 2k for one part haha. I would like to keep the total build under 2k which leaves me around 800 for the GPU so just weighing options and watching sales. Happy with the build otherwise and felt good about pricing of the parts so far. Hopefully can sell my original/first build for 600-700? Not sure what the used PC market is like though to be honest.

EDIT -- Also to be fair I am mostly playing COD with friends from high school and I don't need a build that runs 4k or VR at high rate. I do like to future proof reasonably so I am not stuck doing this again in a year or two but I sort of enjoy the process. The wallet does not however haha.

I could use cmc plates welded on… you’re just a little too far… too bad too, I could get a hood swap with @Rhody929 while in the “area”

Well think that 1/2 is for the welding and the other half of the ride is for the hood swap. Just think if you can come up with a 3rd reasons

Well, I do have the KP Off-road tabs that could be welded. Though the oem tabs seem to be working just fine with the octagon plates. Even after rocky Rausch Creek trails.

Could possibly align it in a weekend with some wheeling. Do some welding Saturday then wheeling Sunday.

2k at 144hz is the real bang for buck value point in my opinion. I wouldn't go with a 4090 unless I was doing video editing or anything of that nature. Or has money to burn.

Hopefully you found the PC thread on TW. It used to be pretty active and there were some really knowledgeable guys in there with what's currently out for parts and at what price point.

Yeah and I have no plans to do video editing or heavy work load. I’m running games and not notoriously demanding games. I’ll end up with a 4070 or 4080 I suspect. I should poke back over into the PC build thread

Not a bad choice. The 4080 will do 120-150hz on 1440p high settings all day. With that being said the 30 fps difference youll get from the 4070-4080...is it worth it? Who knows. Lol

Working just fine, works, but isn’t I’m not scared of nothing better. And besides, too much dust collecting on the KPs might ruin them.

Exactly. But you can just do that the whole time when looking at GPUs. Oh just another 100 bucks and I can get this upgrade. The real world difference is hard to translate for me.

I've got an "older" 6800xt and it pushed around 90-120hz on ultra with 1440p. Cod just seems to piss assets away. All the other game I play are pretty much maxed out on ultra settings + 144hz locked

It seems like the game has such an unnecessary demand on the system. Not to mention, the update size every time they make a change is absurd. My current PC has a 1660 Ti I believe. Much due for an upgrade. The initial thought and plan was just upgrade the GPU but then your throttled somewhere else and so it just snowballed into an entire build. And we switched away from console gaming because we got sick of buying a new system every few years
