Yeah, I guess I did. I used to be big on VW, then came the POS Mexican Jetta wagon. Electrical gremlins that kept randomly popping up that couldn't be diagnosed. Traded it on a Toyota 18 months after purchase...and the dealer was a dick (his dad would've been proud of how he ran the dealership into the ground). VW eventually pulled the dealership, which ended up in the Bergstrom Group.

edit: I may take a look at the Taos.

For $35k he could buy a really nice, used, 4Runner. If gas mileage is a major concern, look at the RAV4. For dependability you can't beat a Toyota. Check autotrader or car gurus. That's how I found ALF.

Skip the rogue and the Murano. Those still aren't made right.

For 35k he could get into a Frontier S. Tremendous truck.

If fuel economy is a concern plus insurance on a newer-ish driver

The Sentra is a solid car. It's built like a Corolla to be honest underneath. And the CVT in the small cars doesn't have issues like it does in the rogue.

But even the modern Altima and Maxima have become quite good vehicles. I wouldn't put them on the level of the Camry, but I would put them miles ahead of the Korean junk.

    Fix Or Repair Daily

His decided one day it didn't want to shift to 4th any longer. Did that randomly for about 3 weeks, then mysteriously started again and has since. Now, it randomly won't start. Go figure.

He wants smaller. Didn't even want to consider an SUV/Crossover because he thought they were too big.

Similar here. Stock UCAs, no cab mount chop, 0 offset (spacers) and just a little bit of rubbing near steering lock when the suspension gets compressed. Going to try a bit more work with the heat gun.

Looks factory-ish, no? Couldn’t finish welding in the driver side plate tonight but close to wrapping it up. Test drive afterwards shows no more rubbing anywhere. Don’t know why I put this off so long, was way easier than I had expected. :bananadance:

My wife saw me sitting on the ground, facing the front bumper, inspecting the alignment and couldn't bear to watch anymore.

She decided it was time for an early bday present.

She must think I'm getting too old to be rolling around on the concrete.

Concrete? What a nice option... I lay in the gravel. And snow. Often snow.

    Thats a nice creeper!

I’m surprised the big fridge names haven’t started doing this yet. I think ecoflow is the only other one I’ve seen with an internal battery

Is that the :spending:one on Amzn?
Looked like it has good run time on the battery.

Edit: ICECO was the fridge I saw.
Magnetic external battery with an 80w solar panel
