    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

I need to add to plate here on the bumper... it's hard to tell from the picture, but there's a big opening on either side of the bottom of the tire, where stuff could (and has) fall out.

Was thinking dumpling those would look cooler lol. I need to figure out what size hole I want to make. I'll probably by the (one) size I need from Summit.

The full sets (like, from Swag etc) are EXPENSIVE!

It'll probably be this one https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hck-pf4ee

Dude I am so excited to have that grind mode button. My old hood required me to turn the darkness adjuster to grind but then I would lose my setting, stupid fucking design lol.

Yeah I have no idea how I got the screaming deal of $150 on the Eastwood ones I got. Even if you don't need the cutter part of the hydraulic ram to cut holes it was awesome to pop the 5 holes and then immediately dimple die the five holes on one setup. No press no nothing. Super fast going hole to hole. (That's what she said.)

I really need a tube bender

Then again I really need a bigger CNC table

But I also need a bigger press brake

    :annoyed:

Cant bend tube in any other way, there are workarounds for a bigger table or a bigger press brake.

    Choice seems clear to me.

I should be buying at least a plasma cutter this winter then a table later on. Probably going with PW cut 60

I have a switch on my hood as well. I still just take the hood off though and put my sunglasses on when grinding, or wire wheeling.

It’s because every time I put it on grind mode, I forget to put it back on weld mode, and flash myself haha

I know it's a bit of a drive, but you have free access to a bender any time.

Naw, bigger table isn't just for the larger cut envelope but also for a more premium setup (movement style)

    Looking at $10k minimum though

I just picked up a swag tube bender. Mostly cause my local steel supplier is carrying their dies and other stuff. But it’s nice and smooth. I’ve also used a protools with no complaints.

Dimple dies will for sure look sweet there. I imagine you would need to match the curve after the dies go in. Or make the piece to match the curve, dimple die it and curve it back out since it might straighten a bit or get wonky in the process.

I plan on going the affordable bender route. A swag setup is far too big for my tiny garage even with it on casters and air over.

Same, especially since I expect to use it more for myself (and maybe friends) than paid work

People around me are cheap as fuck

Ok, three shipments for missing parts, one grommet lost in the hydraulic fluid tank, several bonks to the head with the damn safety buttons (those are getting chopped as soon as I make sure it really works!), and about 15 hours of assembly LATER it finally bent something. And it seems pretty sweet. But I’m traveling for a couple days so can’t futz with it more until Sunday…
