Good morning! Working from home today as the storm approaches. We have never lost power in this home due to a storm. Great underground power infrastructure. The Farm, on the other hand...That area loses power at first threat of bad weather and usually is without for at least 3 days.

Have a happy and safe Thursday!!

Well good morning all you young whipper snappers! LOL!
Up since 3:15…YIKES! I hate it when that happens! Guess there will be a nap in my day.
Hot here at 91 which is 17* above our normal! Looks like a 10 day stretch of high 80s to low 90s with no moisture in the forecast. Not good! I may have to take a few drives in the mountains to cool off!

Have a great day everyone in spite of the weather (especially Florida!). Stay safe and don’t waste a minute!

Can’t stand those sneaky crawlers, however, they are much easier to be trapped compare to squirrels. :annoyed:

A little something every chance we get.
At least they brought it back down to a predicted THREE for you all! Stay safe Jim!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Mow & trim today, but at least the high will be upper 80's. Cooler start when I get going. I am very sore below the waist from my evaluation yesterday - probably more than PT would do. I got bent and moved in ways my legs and hips hadn't thought of in a looooonnnng time!

And leaving the Dr. yesterday, the Check Engine light told me the MAF was unhappy again. I just cleaned the heck out of, so did some reading at lunch. Yeah, my last mpg's had dropped. Seems to lack a little power, and it "sounds rich" though it's pretty hard to tell - not a race truck. What the heck, 17 years, 225K miles, I just ordered a Denso replacement. I'll pay the OEM price for something like that. We shall see.

    Evening all:

   , who would have thought!
Looks like there is now a lawsuit over Ohtani's 50/50 ball, a guy is saying that he caught it, but the other guy literally stole it from him by wrestling it away from him, supposedly there are videos that substantiate his claim.
It's up for auction starting at $500K, buy it now for 5M, going to be interesting to see the outcome of that case, either way a few lawyers are going to make a lot of money!

Forecast says it's our turn for the hurricane today. Looks like a nasty one. We're as ready as we can be. Lots of trees here can be an issue. Some of the leaves are down already, which will help. Generator at the ready, helps with peace of mind, even if we don't need to use it. Stay safe, friends.

    Good Morning :hattip:

It's raining like crazy here in Middle Tennessee , I'm NE of Nashville and rainfall totals are expected to 2-4 inches of rain with pockets of 6" by 0700hrs tomorrow morning . Have had wind gusts nearing 50 plus mph

Watching my local news this morning and multiple freeways in/out of Nashville have been shutdown do to flooding

Not sounding good in Helena’s path! Hoping the best outcome for all!

85* and bone dry here today. Kettlebell day!

A second solar panel is suppose to show up today to add to the one I have on my Casita. That will give me around 220 watts. Should keep the arm going as long as I’m parked in the sun. My next project will be moving the controller out of the closet to an easy to see location; running the wiring between the two panels; installing a feed through the Casita hull; and powering up. Pretty much several days of work. Fun entertainment!

Have a safe and fun Friday! Hopefully Helena will move out quickly so everyone can get back to normal.
