The only other step required aside from adding the led light for Anytime Locker and the 4wd front hub defeat/trickery switch for the 2wd lo is tapping into plug IA5 behind the drivers side kick plate. This requires adding a t-tap (vampire tap) off the wire connected to pin 19.

I not a fan of t-taps so I spliced new wire feeding the Anytime Locker into the wire connected to pin 19 using a solder heat shrink connector.

For what it is worth both the 2wd lo and the Anytime Locker work great and there is no issue with their functionality nor is there any issue with the standard 4wd functionality.

Im guessing plug IA5 has nothing to do with the EVAP system so the splicing of pin #19 on that plug shouldn’t be the issue which refocuses me back to the ECM connector plug E14.

Well it does go through IA4 which is right above IA5 but let's do the voltage check at the ECM (see my post above) before we go down the rabbit hole of a potentially broken wire.

I did note a wire that was kinda suspicious in IA4 when I had IA5 out, was like it had been stripped back further on its insulation. Maybe that’s it. I was very very careful with this whole process but do have big hands.

I’ll have to see if I can rent or borrow a bidirectional scanner and also learn how to use it or go with the alternative method of determining if there is voltage at the pin.

Looks like it could be Pin #16 in IA4. I’ll take a quick look at that tomorrow as it is easy access. It really could have been that wire I saw and maybe it was a questionable connection from the factory and all it took was me pushing into it and came dislodged or broke.

Would be pretty easy to backprobe the terminal at the ECM, should be the 2nd wire from the top on the right side of the bottom most connector of the ECM.

    (Edited to fix my mistake)

I’ll get on this in the morning. Thank you so much for the help. Pouring rain outside here now so I’m gonna wait it out and try probing for voltage tmrw.

For reference this should be how the ECM sits in the truck, just be careful with what you probe in there with.

(edit) I was incorrect, Pin 6 is the 2nd wire down on the top right of the bottom most connector.

Yep see my edit above, I was incorrect about it's location in the conector.

In theory would it also be violet where it passes through IA4 Pin#16?

Yep, shows to be Violet all the way down to the Leak Detection Pump.

    Wire reconnected and back together.

Thank you to Dm93 for help navigating through the troubleshooting.

Was the wire snipped, broken? How did the fault occur?

Seems like wire was broken and hanging on by a few strands and pushed into it when splicing into a wire on the lower IA5 plug. A bit unsure but know I didn’t cut it as I wasn’t anywhere near it working on splicing into the lower connector. New truck with 5k miles and only have ever been in that kick panel once.
