What’s I’d do wrong?

 

Selling my Steiner P4Xi 1-4x24mm so I can get into a 1-6x. The optic has been great and works very well but I've been getting more into competition shooting and the targets are getting smaller and further away.

The P3TR reticle is simple and effective. The glass quality and clarity is great. There's not even a comparison between my Vortex Strike Eagle. Will allow potential buyer to compare the two optics.

Only used a handful of times, in perfect working condition. Does not come with mount.

That is good to know. I did a google search and found them on Optics Planet, etc for $899 but $599 is crazy low.

 

Retailers are dropping prices. People are not spending $$$ on "wants" any more, everybody is holding onto their cash.

 

That does appear to be the case.

I am also getting the impression that Steiner has or will be obsoleting the PX4i. Retailers are trying to move inventory.

Wrong time for me to try and sell this optic to offset the cost of the replacement I guess.

No, the mount does not come with it.

 

Everything Steiner can be had at a significant discount these days. Not a great signal about how they’re doing on the consumer market.

 

You definitely don't see a lot of people using their product. It's almost like consumers would rather go with the cheaper Vortex option or go all out on the NF product. There doesn't appear to be much spend between the two.

I've been a big fan of the Steiner product I have used but I understand there are different desires for everyone.

 

I bought their red dot to compare to my MRO, Eotechs, PA prisms, etc. I was so, so glad the shop had a great return policy.

Crazy heavy, terrible placement for the buttons (very easy to switch mode or turn on off by mistake), miserable battery life and a very low brightness even on the highest setting. I understand why they don’t sell and why nobody gives a damn about them.

I haven't had a lot of experience with their red dot. Did get to handle one in a shop just the other day. It was meh. Very large and not a very big window for the size & weight. I didn't get to shoot with it so I can see your complaints being valid.

It also looks like a Decepticon or some Terminator robot.

 

There's one on Reddit's GAFS for $550 shipped with an ADM mount.

 

Yep! Don’t buy it, you will regret it. It literally has nothing going for it. And I say that even after buying mine new at a 60% discount! Imagine someone paying MSRP…
