    Hi all.

my carrier bearing is leaking or that’s what it looks like.

did I not notice this progressing? I don’t know.

Truck has a hard time going into drive or shifting gears. Oil sprayed all under the truck looks like it’s coming from the bottom of the carrier bearing. No vibrations previously. I was trying to figure out what was Going on and it started to get super stinky so I turned off the truck and stopped.

Am I leaking transmission oil or transfer case oil? Or do they use the same?
I got a tow to Toyota for the fix. What can I expect?
    Is their remedy’s?
The truck has a 2-3 inch lift in the back with leaf springs. Installed 35k miles ago. I am wondering if this is the cause.. I have no CB drop or shims. I will post pictures.

transfer case/trans fluid are different. If you're having a difficult time getting into gear, don't force it. Definitely get it checked out before driving it anywhere.

Looks pinkish to me. So it's tranny fluid. Not transfer case fluid. The stealership will let you know. Completely doubtful that your rear lift is the cause of it.

Well I’m retarded. I repaired the trans line under the radiator because it was leaking prior to this. Only I didn’t know it was the trans line. I thought it was power steering or radiator lines. Dumb as a stick.
I could have just filled the transmission up and it would have been good. Instead I ran through all the oil during the repair.
Now Toyota will fix for 2500. hopefully my transmission is okay. Lesson learned.
