I have the NAPA 3-1/2 ton, I like it, bought several years ago because my friend had one first and I liked it ... put it on my Xmas list that year. I don't remember how much $ ... buy once cry once as I recall.

I've been happy with mine. I've got the aluminum...easier to drag around. About a 40 lb. difference

Happy Friday Stockers. Gonna be interesting today. Already 100% rain for hours, forecast is for it to continue contstantly, hi wind warnings kick in around noon, and I'm way the hell north. Spent the morning putting things up.

Jacks: I finally sprung for a good one, what a difference maker. Went with the yellow jacket because of it's 23" lift height, makes it easy to get our trucks up off the floor entirely in a couple strokes. LOVE it.

Get a high lift. You'll need that for the rigs

Ugh.....right in the middle of this. We're also in a narrow band of the "high wind warning". Was just an advisory last night. Got upgraded over night. Sustained winds of 25 -35 mph at times with gusts 55 -70 mph. 4"+ of rain expected in 24 hours.

You be safe too my friend

I noticed when I visited my brother the trucker the 1960s that all roads lead to (or from) Indianapolis, and a lot of Hoosiers were moving to FL... An editor/honcho of SIMTA, Scout and International Motor Truck Association, put an article in the magazine about his restoration project Travelette (the Travelall fifth wheel puller) towing a trailer over a bridge on the way to Florida, bouncing around on the bridge deck, damaging both truck and trailer. He wasn't exactly looking forward to repairing the truck again... They weren't very far from home, so there was that.
My brother started out in Mitchell, bought his first home in Orleans, then moved to Paoli for several years and this century's been on the south end of Bloomington (Smithville). Some wild thunderstorms, tornados and such off the big rivers... 20 years since I've been that far east, 10 since MN-and northern WI. (4th of July weekend in Phillips WI was fun, as I had a friendly dog lean against me for some attention while the girl holding the leash told me that their dog was very protective, and I overheard her mom at a picnic table down the way mention to someone that it's a Lab-Staffordshire Terrier cross. Dogs and cats know livestock people...)
Tie down everything, batten down the hatches...
Cooler, partly cloudy Friday so it's time to open the garage door, open the tailgate on the Tacoma and give it a thorough cleaning before fitting the Bambed and doing whatever trimming is needed on the parts at the back end. As the gang in Corey Ford's Lower Forty would always say, "Keep your martinis and your powder dry."

As a Motorcyclist, it's southern Indiana that has the most appeal. It's surprisingly beautiful and varied, we call it Kentuckiana. Not at all the flat farmland of the norht. Indy is an overgrown suburb of working folks. Chemists and lawers mostly.

What kind of trimming for the Bambeds? I had to carve mine to accomodate my bed stiffeners. Great product.
