What’s the minimum size in Connecticut?

 

19 1/2” !!!!!!

The Fluke in the photo is 21”.

 

My nephew
He caught more fish than me that day and the biggest
Weedless top water over thick duckweed. Lot of fun ,lost more fish than we caught .

Not quite finished after all..

 

Caught two hawgs belly crawling on the flats in a foot of water. They were crushing the shrimp and bait fish.Caught the nice trout on a top waterplug.

 

Went to a work retreat with my wife and they had a tiny pond. Absolute dinks but I caught about 20 bass and just as many sunfish. Got my wife on a few as well.

 

I have been fishing the same lake my whole life. My parents retired on the water and this season has been just a different level of big fish. First fish of the year I hit a monster Largemouth from shore early march with no scale or tape measure casting in the rain... Different level of fish...


For 31 years we caught maybe 3 Northern Pike... This season, for whatever reason, we found how to fish for them and discovered where they tend to hunt all summer long. We have caught well over 30+ since March and one small Musky all off Booyah Spinners all in the shallows, many of which over 30." On my Dad's 62nd bday we caught a 44" and 39" back to back casts. Getting fiberglass models made of both fish. All Northern have been released back to keep growing.



Also, the Channel Cats.... Not sure what happened with them either but years previously we would max out in that 10-12lb range.... This year my wife reeled in a 33" 21lb Channel Cat on 8 lb test fishing with shrimp. I caught my personal best at 15lbs but her fish was a completely different level of animal... Pix do it no justice.

 

Took the boat out this evening. Caught this hawg cruising the grass line.

 

Pretty slow season for us this summer work got in the way of everything. But we managed a few good trips

 

Beautiful healthy looking trout. Where did you catch them, not asking your secrete spot just state and body of water.
