I agree, mainstream media has an agenda. I’m not buying one side of it.

The only news I watch is the weather.

Am I part of the problem?
Probably, but I feel like I’d be better informed, by not being informed form any side that has a bias. (Mainstream)

Bonuses are great until corporate wants to maximize profit margins.
Then they cut them back, and ultimately end them altogether.

They did just that at the Steel Mill my brother works at.
He is a supervisor, you will see production drop EVERY time they cut back, or end bonuses.

They have done this twice now.

I feel like it's better not to give bonuses.
Just pay your works what they are worth.
Fire the ones that aren't worth their pay.

Again, Pay people well and they will work.
Bonuses are not guaranteed, too many people count on them. And then they don't get them.

Yup, sounds like at some point a handful of people screwed it up abusing something. Grrr..regardless of the two entity thing, which is no less annoying.

How far roughly is that commute?

The commute to Allentown is anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic and a number of other factors.

The remnants of that hurricane came through here today, we had wind gusts between 70 - 85 MPH No electricity and my berry patch sustained alot of damage, can't even begin to imagine how bad it must have been down South.

We didn't get it too bad here.
    Maybe 30 mph gust.

Actually, nothing near as bad as they had warned us.

There was some local flooding, but that is typical.
Most of the bad flooding here was self induced.
You can't 100's of homes and have all the water drain into the creek.

Tennessee is growing so fast in population, they are literally buying older homes with "big" lots.
Then tearing the home down, splitting the lot into 2 sections, and building 2 houses.

    I don't remeber it.
But I worked in a restaurant with a bar.
I cleaned up puke, piss, shit and blood.....

Not often, but I did a few times.

Even had the General Manager had me $20 once for cleaning up the bathroom one night.
Not bad for a high school kid. I was already on the clock. And it didn't take me 10 mins.
He just didn't want to do it, and gave me $20 and a "Thanks".

I mean, He was the boss. So I was going to have to do it anyways.....lol

I walked around the house and have trees, shrubs, and berry patch blown over. Stupidly waited to pull my generator out because the power company had the restored time listed at 5:15. At 6:30 they changed it to unknown restoration and naturally the generator won't start now, nothing like trying to work on it in the pitch black with a flashlight.

My parents took me to see the 20th Anniversary rerelease of Star Wars in 1997, when we were living in Northern California, shortly before my 8th birthday; I loved it!

My birthday list consisted almost entirely of Star Wars toys, including this Millennium Falcon. The website in the link below says it retailed for $40 in 1995-1996, and I’m assuming that’s roughly what it cost in March 1997, or maybe a little more…

As with many popular toys that are no longer in production, prices have skyrocketed. Unfortunately, I think I sold most of my Star Wars stuff at garage sales or just gave it away…

I got a ton of Star Wars stuff for my 8th birthday, including this version of Han Solo, and the smuggler pack; I do not remember if the smuggler pack came with action figure or not. Also for my 8th birthday, I got a diecast 1:18 scale model Ferrari 355; I distinctly remember that the action figures were small enough to fit in a 1:18 scale model, and I put Han behind the wheel of the Ferrari…

I think that if earth-style vehicles were a thing in a galaxy far far away, Han Solo would be driving a 1970s or 1980s 1-ton dually that would have spent its whole life on Tattooine and thus been spared from rust…

In addition to Han Solo, these are the other action figures that I remember having; I know this was the exact Luke Skywalker that I had, but I do not remember which version of Chewie I had…

I also had Darth Vader’s battle damaged TIE fighter, and there’s a funny story behind this one; I forget what the occasion was, but my mom took me to Toys “R” Us to buy some Star Wars stuff. This was in either 1997 or 1998, when we still lived in California, and I believe that a relative had sent money in lieu of a present for either my 8th or 9th birthday so I could buy whatever I wanted. I picked out this specific item, and I thought it was the coolest thing that it had the damage caused by Han Solo firing on Vader; I pointed it out to my mom and initially wouldn’t buy it because she thought that it was broken…

    :facepalm::rofl:

I showed her that it was supposed to be “damaged” and grabbed a couple more from the shelf to prove it. She was convinced and ultimately bought me Vader’s TIE fighter, but still wouldn’t buy the one I’d initially grabbed off the shelf; I do not remember which version I had…

I also had Luke’s Landspeeder, which was from the same toy line as my Falcon and all of my larger action figures; I know my parents didn’t pay anywhere near fifty bucks for it, and I pissed that I no longer have any of this stuff!

I had Luke’s snowspeeder too, and I’m thinking my parents probably paid $20-$30 for it back in 1997…
