I didn’t see any Weller but they had Weller merchandise.

    $40 Eagle Rare 10 year
Limited to one bottle every 90 days. My wife came with so got 2 of em. Time to share a few glasses with my neighbors while smoking cigars.

I need to check the Buffalo Trace at my local liquor store.
At Buffalo Trace company store it’s $27

It is commonly believed that Wild Turkeys are flightless, but this is not actually true.

That's only because after a flight of super Rare Wild Turkey's, you have the strength of 10 men, or, 2Kraemerica's.

Finally, I bought a real Weller today. While I know I overpaid for it, I justified it because I got three for one. Also what info I found in a quick search on the other two looked interesting.

Man there's a lot going on here.

The classic 101 is 101. You know what you're getting.

The 8y adds citrus and a peppery burn on the finish. Long finish, longest of the group. More viscous than I expected, on par with the 12y.

The 12y doesn't have the citrus, but rather oak, and it isn't shy. More mellow finish, that would be the extra age. 2nd best nose of the group and the palate winner for me.

The MK One is proofed 101 like the others but has a toasted barrel finish. It has the best, brightest nose (but just barrrrely edged the 12y; I had to huff em both for some time to decide). It's thinner than the 8y and 12y, but sweeter. Sweet cream/marshmallow join the palate rather than the citrus or oak.

For me, the 12y still takes the crown, but the 8y is damn fine whiskey for ~50 clams and I recommend it unreservedly.

Sad to see this one go. Hoping to replace with a 10 or 12year.
