Sometimes you leave an anchor, sometimes you find an extra one.

Welp I guess the garage and shop are going to be flooded when I get home.
Old house issues. The back of the shop and garage are the low lying points of the concrete. I just ended up knocking holes in the walls so the water could drain out.

EDIT: the garage was shockingly dry. I haven't looked in the shop yet. Usually long steady rain is ok. It's those flash heavy downpours that are the worst.

Stay dry man, I pulled boards to drop the pond 2’ so we can handle the runoff.

Yeah, fuck her. It's rough up here in the upstate. Tress down all around my house, no power.

We're through it at this point on the coast. Looks like wind levels peaked at about 75mph over night. Slept through it like a baby. whether that's good or bad, I'm not sure. Loading up the car for our weekend beach trip to North Carolina. Driving out in about two hours. Feels wrong, but supposed to be sunny all weekend.

So apparently the winds were a bit strong down here last night! Didn’t hear anything slept right thru it but the streets and back yard are covered with tree debris. Looks like it broke 2 sections of my fence too, Thank you Helene

Hope everyone upstate are safe and sound!

Its still windy as hell up here in Easley, but I think the worst part is over. Can't imagine how bad it was in Florida when it made landfall with 140 mph sustained winds.

Western NC got hammered by rain and enough wind to drop a shit load of trees it looks like. Highlands area recorded almost 11” of rain yesterday. There’s probably way more washed out roads than they’re reporting. Y’all stay safe up there. Luckily we just had wind.

Just a bunch of debris in my yard but the power has been off since 3:35am. You wake right up when the bedside fan cuts off.
Fairfield Electric is very good though so hopefully they'll have it restored soon. I'm sure they are working their ass off. Luckily, it's not super hot outside.

I'm up in West Virginia, New River Gorge, and trees are falling everywhere blocking roads. Emergency crews are doing everything they can as quick as the can. It's crazy how much damage this has caused so far inland.

We have a family cabin in Nellysford, Virginia just off of the Blue ridge parkway. We get automated updates from local fire and rescue. They're extremely worried about major landslides over the course of the next few days. Bad news all around.

IMG_4951.jpg Finally had power come back on late this afternoon. Generator ran the fridge and some other stuff. Can I be certified as EAF now?

Little windy and choppy, but crazy to go from tropical storm force winds to a sunny beach in only a handful of hours and a 140 mile drive. Sunset Beach, NC.

Nope, only if you have that generator on a trailer powering a mobile fridge.

Any fridge can technically be a mobile fridge….

Come to think of it, those true EAF people have fridges that cost more than my home refrigerator

To be fair, it's a really big fridge.
