Washed my Sporty Taco tonight and noticed the front driver side hub cap is missing/gone.

Not sure when this happened but I'm trying not to be a detective and think the worse...like, someone took it.

Anyhow, I'm looking at a replacement...or replacing all of them with TRD style but they are costly.

    Any inputs?

    EDIT: These are cool lookin'

My front drivers center cap failed and made a clacking noise a few years ago. Never fell off. Replaced under warranty. Back ordered for months. Replaced 10-12 months ago. Failed 5 months later. Brought it up at the second to last service. They said it was back ordered again but was covered. They did move it to the back drivers side. Can still hear it. Last service forgot about it and they never brought it up. I'll have to follow up next service. Annoying if anything. Especially the back order issue.

    Calling dealership now...last service:

    Tire Rotation/Diagnostics was April 8, 2024 at 27,306 miles.

    Current mileage: 30,330

I've driven 3,024 in the span of 6 months.

So, with my Extended Warranty, the hub cap is not covered...that's a bummer.

On hold for Parts Department now...let's see how much they charge for 1EA.

    EDIT: Price $68.35

    Good morning TW.

Today is my 3-year anniversary on this board called TacomaWorld!

I've spent at least $5K on add-ons/upgrades that I've posted on this thread--15 pages & 289 replies including this one.

I'm still looking back and admiring my Sport when I park.

    Have a great day everyone.

That’s awesome, next month will be my 4th year anniversary. Just beat myself up the other day applying undercoating to mine for the first time. Not fun crawling around my gravel driveway laying on a tarp underneath the truck doing that. Then the next day, complete wash, claybar and ceramic spray wax. I’m worn out but it was a labour of love and it’s all ready for whatever our PNW winter can throw at it. Would love to spend more on mods tho. Still look back and admire it too! Along with the compliments I still get.

So, I took my truck to dealership for tire rotation; since the service updates my CARFAX profile. :)

They also did complimentary tire balancing and identified rear mis-alignment. ($129)

    Two items were recommended:

    Cabin Filter + Windshield Wipers total: $100 ($40 + $60)

    Both were seriously overpriced!

I went ahead and ordered both on Amazon combined for: $49.($22.01 + $26.99)

Wipers get here tomorrow and Cabin Filter on Monday.

Nice! Only thing I do at the dealer are the free oil changes. Everything else I’ll do myself. Well, maybe I’ll let them do the transmission fluid, if I ever feel that’s needed. Possibly the brakes fluid if it’s on the cheaper side. The off road and pros have extra stuff to deal with and it’s not a straight bleed and flush…

Yeah, that rear locker gizmo gives the Master Cylinder a little more technical attention on OR/Pro.

I've changed brake pads on rotors; had auto hobby shop turn rotors and bled brakes.

One thing I haven't done are drums/shoes but after reviewing YouTube videos, it doesn't look too difficult.

And oil changes are a breeze for me now that I utilize Fumoto/MotiveX draining tools.

I love the OEM wiper inserts. After almost 4 years I just changed my wipers. I put a new set of wipers on and kept my old ones. I then took my old wipers and removed the inserts and replaced them with new inserts. Threw the old inserts in the trash. Now I have a refreshed set of wiper blades ready to go. i'll repeat process once the other wiper blades wear out.

I have an in-cabin air filter at the ready. Regularly check mine and will be ready to replace once I think it's toast.

Such a pleasure to do all these tasks on these trucks.

With a recent atmospheric river all weekend long it sure is reassuring getting around in these trucks.

My wife driving stopped at a light with the manhole covers starting to percolate from all the water.
