That’s right. You have 1/2” of threads showing. Another 1/2” of threads will almost another 1” of lift.

I thought they were supposed to be setup for 2-2.5" from ADS. At least according to this. Screenshot_20240418-214325__01.jpg

Am I able to unweight the truck and adjust them?

Yes. Lightly loosen the silver nut I circled in red. By lightly, I mean only turn it like 30 degrees, less than a "flat." Then turn the 90 degree fitting to where you want it pointing and then retighten the silver nut.

Loosen the Resi hose clamps and roll the entire resi in a little, it looks like it won't take much to clear the tire. You can also get some 3/4 ID heater hose, spilt it lengthwise and slide it over the resi hose, hold it in place with some zip ties.

This is what I did. Although it's essentially just the hose clamps holding the position so if they loosen or vibrate, the resi will turn back outwards

How many miles are you guys going between rebuilds? I have the remote reservoir version if it makes a difference and don’t off-road too hard just pull a utility trailer occasionally so not hard use.

I did like 50k the first time. Now I'm at 60k and don't play to rebuild until it's leaking

Don't know the spec, but just had my shocks rebuilt and tuned after about 35k or so and they changed the hoses to the new style hose vs. the ones I had on it back in 2018. My brother just had these installed on his 2018 as well. Must have abused mine a bit on my trips. Super happy with the rebuild and the tunning, one to two clicks for road and up to 18 more for off road. I did have them clock my hoses off 90 to allow more clearance for the springs, It may be a bit more than I wanted with like 12-15 degree off, I will do 7-10 degree the next time. Some how one of my rear shafts got scratched and zippered the oil out of it. The fronts were also replaced, the three shafts, hoses and one front bearing and had them set them to max height as I have a heavy front bumper and winch as well as skids.

I am looking forward to the next trip, Shocks feel like the day I put them on in 5/2018, hard to believe I was able to get through 6 years, then rebuild them and update to the latest spec + tuning. Shout out to JC and Joel at ADS for getting these back in time for my next trip.

What did the rebuild run you cost wise?

Paid about $989 shipped back to me, but seals, three shafts, two hoses, bearings and new lock washers few bucks needed to be replaced. Here is a good article for rebuild and the hoses they used. My friend said he will rebuild them for me next time but I think you are looking at about $125 a shock with new seals, oil, nitrogen if no parts need to be replaced at ADS, don't quote me they set the price. IMO it was worth the time and money as they did upgrade the valving to current design. Thanks Joel and JC at ADS by Holley!

I did not have time to do them myself as I was working on other things like breaks and Transmission/Diff/Transfer Case Fluid Changes, Drive Shaft Lube, Spark Plugs, Filter Cleaning, Propane Tank Mount, Freezer Mount, Camp Table on my swing out rear bumper and Touching up my Skids after the beatings they took over the last few years. That was just ton of work to get done in a month plus the day job. The cost of the Nitrogen Tank and Spring Compressor plus garage space would have cost me a bit if I was to do this myself. I like the factory support, always helpful and willing to make things happen so this is way cheaper than replacing the shocks ever 35k or whatever. These can be rebuilt, parts replaced if needed for a fair price with the factory HW.

My Brother delivered them to ADS for me and I was out, received them Wednesday for an early morning departure on Monday. Had to get them on quick and get rear breaks done, having used them this past week on the Mojave Trail they performed well after the re-valving. Setting them to max height was also good for me as I have a heavy front bumper/winch. On the trail I dialed them into 15 clicks rear and 17 clicks front and found that to feel fairly smooth for the horrible woops on the trail.

Very nice, thanks! I've had a terrible squeak coming from the front of my truck for the last year, and I lubed everything I could and it wouldn't go away. Last week I spray lubed the bearings/mis-alignment spacers at the bottom of my shocks....noise gone! I'm going to follow Adventure Taco's tutorial on replacing them, I suspect they're trashed.

It is probably your UCA's I had TC's and they squeaked and I ended up selling them and buying SPC's

I have the TC's too....loosened it all up and greased them....nada! Noise was still there and I was not happy! I thought for sure that would take care of it. I actually had my neighbor rock my truck this time, while I was underneath, and I narrowed it to that area. I hit them with some Tri-Flow while he was rocking it and BAM..gone!!

Mine drove me totally crazy so I changed them to SPC's and zero squeaking from them, but there are pro's and cons. I have mine all the way out and you really do not need the adjustment, but no looking back now.

I may have gone with the JBA's but ended up with SPC's

So far, 7yrs and 40k miles, I've had no issues (sqeaks) from my TC's. Happy with them. Same mile on my ADS on all 4 corners, love those things

Hi Dan, Is this just a reflection or is there damage on the shaft? If that is damage you may want to get it rebuilt soon. It will tear up the seals and oil will leak. I had a little scratch on the rear and it acted like a zipper to allow the oil to leak out.
