I have a 2022 Tacoma and need to mount a thermal camera on my roof. I don't want to drill into the truck, so I was thinking about attaching it to a cross bar from a roof rack. My truck doesn't have a factory rack.

What options would be good for this? Do they just sell the clamps for the sides of the truck where I could make my own bar out of some angle iron?

If you have a double cab, There are holes you can mount a roof rack to.

If you have an access cab you'll have to drill, or use a generic rack that mounts to the door frame

    Roof rack: https://prinsu.com/category/toyota/tacoma/

There are other vendors that offer roof rack such as UpTop, etc.

If you have double cab, no drill needed, since there are holes which waterproof tape covered them. So you can punch a hole on each tape.

    Similar to mine:

There is track in each crossbar.. which means you can mount anything on there such as camera, tent, etc.
