Nice 2-0 win to start off the weekend right/better.

 

Have the wife's cousin and wife from Bavaria staying with us. Then they will get a RV on Monday and do a Northern NE leaf peeping tour and come back on the back swing. Sooo, Chef bucktales is preparing his famous Venison Kabobs for dinner today.

I grew up around many of those, despite being Gen X. My sister (just us 2, she's 2.5 yrs younger) kinda got handed things I had to work for which wasn't exactly equitable, though she's the dummy who lost her house because of not paying for it so tough shit.

happy sunday all.

Family homestead is on the block. Been in the family since 1930. Have to admit it feels kinda weird. I never lived there, the cousins' had the place, but still it was the gathering place. Time moves on.
The phone number has been in the family since some time in the 1920's. I told them someone needs to move the phone number onto a cellphone, keep it going in the family.

 

Up from my extended nap. Did laundry and was tired so I slept for a couple hours.

 

Went out and cut the two lawns I do this morning, then did mine.

Was a little wet, but hadn't cut in two weeks and needed a little cut.

 

Never dried out enough here to even think about mowing.

My wife and I went to my aunt's yesterday for her annual Oktoberfest party. My wife had way too much "fun" and has been sleeping it off all day. LOL! Lazy day for both of us. I did get to try that Rigid light bar last night and wow is it bright. It needs to be aimed up a little bit but it's still impressive.
