Sunset beach is where we always vacationed growing up. We just went back this past year. It’s a pretty nice area!

It's our favorite. Grandparents used to live just a few miles away when they were still alive, so I've been nearly every year for the last 35 years. We rent a house now that we don't have family living nearby. even with the big bridge and a lot of other changes, they've managed to keep so much of the small beach feel. Great place to escape to for a slow-down.

No power here yet either. Good thing we’ve prepped for this with our overland gear! AMIRITE! Garage fridge is plugged up to the taco, jackery powering fans and phones, solar powering jackery, easy peasy!

Pshh. I'll enjoy my CA weather. Feel bad for the destruction and all those without power. There's a reason some places cost more to live.

Was just there last month in sf. My parents live there. They get what’s called Indian summer which basically extends the summer into early November.

Spent a majority of my life in Northern California and 4 years in Long Beach. I remember the earthquake during the 89 World Series. Mother Nature doesn’t care how much pay to live somewhere.

Yeah it sucks big time. Also through out the week I travel three hours to work. I live out the truck I sleep in my camper at my job monday through thursday nights. So I'm pretty screwed for a little while at least. I do have friends that said I can stay with them. I just didn't want to do that.

Lost power (and subsequent water because well) and all verizon towers went down from Friday morning until around 9pm last night. That was fun. Used my starlink when I could to stay connected but I had a limited battery supply. It was too cloudy all weekend for my panels to charge the Jackery 300 and 1000....fun
