Just replaced the front shocks with 5100s with a 0.65” lift. I had measured about 0.25” rake prior to install, now it appears the front end came up a whole inch on the 0.65” setting. Just trying to improve ride quality and get somewhat level but now it’s got about a 0.75” sag.

Now I’m noticing the leaf springs are sagging about 1 inch from stock ride height at only 70,000 miles (20.5-21” from center of wheel to fender). I do have a shell on the truck but rarely keep any weight back there.

Open to suggestions, been looking at replacing the leaf springs with OME EL11R.

Hoping to keep this fairly cheap but I’d like to be able to carry a lightweight camper eventually (will probably install airbags once I find one).

    Yeah. You're squatting.

I was going for no lift, but it was not possible with a suspension swap unless going with some custom Deavers. The stock parts were worn at about 55k. You are carrying weight with that canopy. It is enough to mess with the stock leaf packs.

I went with the 5100s also, reusing the stock coils and Icon RTX packs, which put me up 1.5in over Stock with a good 1.5in of rake. Stock rear should be about 22.0in from the hub center to the flare.

I put on a set of rear Sumo Springs. Fixed the squat with my topper and tools in the bed. $280 new and 15 min install.

Typical, the OE springs are soft and I assume, designed for those who wanted more of a car, than a truck.
I don't like relying on air springs to lift, but that is just me. They work good to mitigate sag when loaded though.

It is funny that Toyota struggles with the leafs. Sagging, TSBs, recalls, etc. The other weird thing is that there is a jittery feeling when the bed is completely empty that is not there with the Icons.

You were already sagging, prior, if you only had .25" rake.
Should be 21" Front, 22" rear. (stock height.)
    Leaving 1" of rake.

Before I upgraded my suspension I was sagging in the front a full 1/2".
    Sitting with 1.5" of rake.

My Icons are terrific too! Makes the front OE setup with a spacer feel like dookie.

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
I put a Headstrong 3 Leaf AAL kit and 5100s on when my truck was a few months old and besides the increased height it seems to have made the back less jittery in the bumps. I'd like to eventually go to a full leaf set up down the road.

Yeah I think that’s the move. Do you have yours at the setting out of the box? Have you tried swapping when carrying more weight? Any sag since you installed? Thanks

Yeah. I am at Option 1 and carry about 200lb of weight over stock.

    No sagging in about 60k.

Oh! I thought we were talking about the RXT packs. Haha!

Since the RXT packs put me up about 1.5in over stock, I set the fronts to the fourth clip on the left and the third on the right to compensate for the Taco Lean. That gave me a 1.5in rake.

I was sagging 1" under stock with my hard rolling tonneau plus Yakima rack .
Wheelers 1.5" progressive AAL with the overload left in brought me up ~2" from that to approx 1" over stock in the rear. I bought the front up about 1.25" over stock to keep a subtle rake.
Doesn't look too bad on the factory sized 265/70r16

Also, sorry! I missed this question.

I have never swapped in the RXT AAL that came with the packs. I have not measured when loaded down, but I have never seen the Taco looking squatted even loaded up. The suspension settles with load, but looks and seems to handle it very well.

Got it! Thanks for all your input, will be putting on the RXTs tomorrow and adjusting the 5100s accordingly.
