I don't suppose any of you fellas in here would be interested in an unused set of rough country aluminum upper control arms?

Some of you know that I have been considering getting a fridge. I decided to order the Anker Everfrost 40L after I got home Sunday, which has been in my Amazon cart since Friday. I wanted to use the weekend to really think about buying this. After I got home, went into the cart and the damn thing was $250 more than on Friday. WTF? I had guessed that I missed out on a sale, and I wasn't too keen on spending $250 more than planned. I then checked out Ankers website. It was $50 less than the Amazon sale!! :headbang: Kimm'r and I discussed whether to get a solar panel and continued to browse the Anker site and found we could get a 2nd battery. We decided that a 2nd bat would be the better choice, and it was also on sale at $60 off. The only negative thing I could find about the Anker was 2 different videos from guys that took it to the beach. They both thought that sand had gotten into the compressor.

I read that 1st as a 2nd battery for ALF.
    But it's a 2nd (anker) battery for the cooler.

Stickers have arrived from Wheeler's today. :bananadance: Has anyone here installed OME MT64 rear shocks? There is a metal bracket that is new to me. No instructions were included and found nothing on YT.

This beats hvac putty for running wires into the cubby.20240930_160811.jpgCable Glands.
Found some grommets, too but those look better for interior like the hole @Stoney Ranger has to drill.

Yes I have, it's not as intimidating as it seems. You tighten the new metal bracket to the old shock mounting location. Then use the small hole in the new mount as a pilot hole to drill the size hole needed for the included hardware. After you drill the hole you use the fancy little custom nut holder things to hold the nut in place so you can thread the bolt in. Then just install it top and bottom like a regular shock. If you need any more help or have questions let me know

A little bit of backyard body shop... My first complete paint job was a 63 VW Karman Ghia that I sprayed Ferrari Red in a barn... looked GREAT! Actually, it did. This is so I can get my decals on...

You make it sound easy, looks daunting to me at this point in my life. Looked around for installation material prior to ordering but came up dry. Had I known about this bracket I would have gone another route. My mechanical skills are basic at best and my physical strength is mostly a memory.

It was a fun work day and got to meet some good folks. It was only four of us but we made some good progress. The DNR estimates the project won't be done for another two years anyways.

When I pulled in, a guy was just getting done hunting pheasant in the area. He had a sweet 3rd gen in Army Green. He didn't stick around long enough to chat with him about it though.

The BHA chair member that accompanied us was filling me in on two Tacomas he previously owned. Both 1st gens with manual transmissions. He loved both until the second one got totaled and the first one started having frame rot.

Trust me when I say that if I can do it you can. The instructions that @Shellshock posted are what you need. I can take pictures and even video chat with you if you would like. I was disappointed as well at first when I saw that bracket lol
