Somebody in my location bought Raptor with all options, that why cost $80,000.

There are 4 options on the Raptor, beadlock wheels, graphics, keyless door code, and spray in bedliner. Those do not add up to $23,000 FYI, that person in your location paid a dealer markup.

I think you made the right choice. I loved my Taco before I upgraded to a full size truck. But if I were looking for a new mid size, the Ranger Raptor would be higher on my list than the new Tacoma.

I can't fault you for making that change at all. I hope you stick around so we can hear about it. That thing probably RIPS!

Maybe that person was factoring in upside-down trade in, or total cost inclusive of loan interest?

I can say my 24 RR cost significantly less than the 24 TRD Pro/TH I considered.

I like the Ranger Raptor. I'd like the 24 Ranger Raptor drive train with the performance tune, differentials and suspension with the 23 Ranger STX Super Cab and interior keep the 24 RR front end and add a ARB front bumper and Warn winch. Paint it Arizona beige throw on a set of bronze Ford Performance Method 703 wheels and 35x12 Mickey Thompson Baja boss tires.

    Now that's an 80K truck.

If it was $80K I bet they bought an f150 raptor, not a ranger raptor.

No shit. Stretching it out a bit.

Hell I was just looking at High Country 2500 Diesels cheaper than 80k.

That sucks about your truck. I would have gotten out of the first one as well, can't blame you. Good luck with the new purchase.
I just picked up my 2024 manual. I'm hoping mine is uneventful. Curious as why you just didn't buy an auto tacoma? I wouldn't buy one, I get the tacoma strictly for the manual.

There is absolutely no practical reason to buy a manual in 2024, or even in 2004. With newer trucks the automatic does everything better anyway.

I've had nothing but good things to say about my 2007 Tacoma, but my next truck will probably be a Ranger or F150. The Raptor is out of my price range though.

OP buys a new Toyota. And that Toyota’s tranny promptly chokes on its own gears.

OP then replaces his unreliable Toyota with a Ford Ranger. The Tacoma forum empathizes, and fully supports his decision. And honestly, I do too.
