Good morning. Not used to some of the trash day chores, my wife and son come home from Ocean City today. Need to go by the bird food store to take advantage of a sale.

It’s going to be another grand day in Colorado! Only 80* today and sunny! Good day to spend outside.

Kettlebell day! Cleaning ladies are showing up later.

Got some work done replacing gray water lines in the Casita yesterday. Had to crawl under and out from under it maybe 20x! Wore me out! Going to install another Hepvo valve in the kitchen drain maybe today. Should make winterizing simpler.
Also got a second solar panel to put on the roof when my energy level is good. Going to move the controller from the closet to the partition wall so it’s easier to read to. Maybe another day.

“Idol hands are the devil’s playground!” So my grandma use to tell me. Stay busy and have a great Monday. After all, it’s the only one this week! LOL!

    Morning all:

I had asked about a problem with bringing up a forum and was told on here that it was on their end. Finally got back on it, and now off it again, seems like they are running into some major problems trying to update the site.

It is hard for someone to respect what they don't know. An, you are right, youth has little to do with it.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Back to being kind of slow with the little therapy done on my hips and back. Unused muscles stayed sore, so I didn't get to some putz I had planned. Main accomplishment for the day is to be replacing the MAF sensor on the truck. Made SURE it was a Denso unit, in a Denso box! Anything else will be fine. Rest of the week is full of Dentist, Doctors, and Therapy.

Oh, the AP has just been dying to make Alabama number one again! And, the Horns take number one in the meaningless Coaches poll! :der:

DENSO OEM part. Let the computer relearn, now getting almost due oil change, then fill up to start a new Calc for mpg. Sounds a little 'cleaner'.

Yikes! Another month has flown by! Happy October all you moldy oldies!
Live trapped a raccoon and hauled him to the mountains yesterday. Reset the trap last night. May have to start throwing them in the trash bin. The mountains are filled up with them!
Heading up to fish today on my bud’s fishing club. I would join, but it’s a long drive. Still a nice place to escape to.
Normal fall weather today at 40 this morning and 70 the high. Better wear some warm clothes this morning!

Wishing the best for everyone affected by Helene! Sadly it looks like a couple more hurricanes are already developing. This is going to be a bad year I guess. A bar and grill we use to frequent at the Cortez bridge between mainland and the island has disappeared. They use to make the best grouper sandwiches. I took my grandson parasailing there too. So sad!

Hope everyone has a good safe day.

Good morning. Slept in till 7am because I know I will be up late tonight. Going to make a mystery stew with pulled pork, chicken leg meat, some chicken K-Bobs and lots of veggies. I might even toss in a left-over pork chop off a roast I did yesterday. going to be a fun day.

    Plain Jane - Bare bones
We are good! Thanks for asking. I have NO IDEA how the boat stayed on the lift. We had 6 foot surge over the normal high tide. I quit watching the water coming up and went upstairs to bed that night. We had about 1 foot of water in the garage, just started creeping under the entry door from the garage into the house. Power was out a couple days, city shut down the water treatment plant. couldn't flush or anything that would put water down the drain.

My daughter lives over by the beach in Redington. They live in a third floor apartment across from the beach. The entire first floor apartments flooded to the ceiling. They lost both cars due to flooding, her car floated around the parking lot hitting other cars and structures. His car filled with water. They just got power back yesterday.

Goodness...this one was a butt-kicker for so many in the southeast. I cannot believe the amount of destruction..Florida, Georgia, Carolinas, Tennessee. This one will take YEARS for those hard-hit areas to recover.

I haven't been to to our place in north Florida yet, but that was hit hard with the eye-wall. Power was just restored this morning according to our co-op. Neighbor across the road said he has at least 60 trees down. He walked around my place and said it appeared good from the outside. Amazing as that area had 125 mph winds sustained. No flooding this time. Heavy tree/wind damage. The third hurricane in the past 13 months to hit that county as all of them came in the same track. I may go up later today.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers all.

Lingering Hot Air here - supposed to hit 105º today. Big streak of 100's+ heading into October...... and enuff is enuff! I keep putting off outside work that needs done in daylight and I'd really like to have done before November.

My wife's two sisters are now settled into Florida - and I'm pretty sure their husbands are asking what the hell they were thinking when they agreed to locate there..... Brother in Law Dan says that WTF means "Welcome to Florida".

    Morning all:

Good to hear that you weren't devastated by the hurricane Jim, it's a shame that anyone has to suffer the massive destruction that they can cause. :(

Happy anniversary Murph, the wife should have just said no to the question and not fessed up about the green one!
