Ya, the Pats haven't been the same since the days of the refs handing Brady victories.

I was liking Purdy's crowd-pleasing mad bomber passes. It's better than throwing 5 yards short of the goal line on 3rd and 10. The score may have been higher if they didn't have 2 touchdowns called back due to stupid penalties. The latest rumor is McCaffrey is back in week 6. I'd also like to see Ricky Pearsall out there. He' got some hands. If they get healthy, I think they're back in the hunt. We'll see

 

Haha, IDK about that one. Remember, the year Brady left New England the team wasn't just needing a quarterback. I've suspected part of his leaving was that he wanted to win one more at least and if they weren't going to open the checkbook to do it he'd go elsewhere..think like Ray Bourque in hockey if you remember that. It's possible too he did just want to get paid for once in his career. The Mac Jones experiment didn't exactly go best case scenario but it was far from just his doing.

I remember the back to back TDs called back before Kittle made that catch in triple coverage, but was there another series that was called back I missed? IMO the 9ers are in the hunt. If they're playing well now without the pieces missing, getting those back is like a huge signing. Happened to use in 2003 or 2004 where we lost a few key players right away.

Pearsall would be interesting to be sure. Mason has definitely carried the mail quite well in the absence of Run-CMC
